We have another beautiful customer story from our Op Shops to share!

Monique (pictured) came in for a sarong but spotted a wedding dress she fell in love with, so she tried it on and it fitted like a glove. She is getting married next month back home in Brazil.
The bride to be put the dress back because she was not planning on buying a dress today and then one of our amazing customers who saw the dress on her, insisted she had to have it as she looked beautiful and then handed her $50 towards it. Tears all round as you can imagine!

We are all so grateful that such kindness exists in our community! We have also since helped Monique to arrange to meet up with the generous stranger when she returns from Brazil to show us and the lovely customer her wedding day photos.

We are also hugely thankful to the lovely person who donated this stunning wedding dress to benefit our Hospice 💙

Come and say hello and have your presents wrapped with care! Every donation you make supports our palliative nursing team at Katie Rose Cottage Hospice 💙 🎁

This Christmas, we are asking our community to open their hearts and support the Heart for our Hospice Appeal. 💙

Katie Rose Cottage Hospice provides compassionate palliative care for people in our region, ensuring every guest and every family receives comfort, dignity, and peace at the end of life.
As a charitable organisation, we rely on the generosity of our community to continue delivering our 24 hour a day, seven day a week specialised nursing care. Every donation helps us keep the doors open, the lights on, and highly skilled nurses at the bedside whenever they are needed. Your support directly impacts local families who are going through one of the most vulnerable times of their lives.
Alongside the care provided in the hospice, our nurses are also out in the community visiting patients in their own homes. This outreach service is fully funded by the hospice and is becoming an essential lifeline for people who wish to remain at home. Ongoing community support is vital for us to continue offering this level of specialised care to families throughout the region.

💙 Welcome to the RN Team, Kerina!
We’re thrilled to welcome Kerina to the Registered Nurse team at Katie Rose Cottage Hospice!
Kerina may be our newest RN, but she’s certainly not new to the organisation. She’s been a much-loved and respected member of the Katie Rose family for quite some time, and we’re so excited to see her step into this next chapter of her nursing journey.
Now, as she begins her RN career with us, we couldn’t be prouder. Kerina brings a strong clinical skill set, an exceptional personality, and that beautiful smile that lights up the hospice every time she walks through the door.
