Here is a quick reminder of some of the fabulous regular events that occur Dorrigo 👇

⚾ Indoor Bowls: Join us at lunchtime every second Monday at the Dorrigo Community Hall. Bring along $5, enjoy morning tea, and enjoy some friendly social exercise.

🍽 SSS Lunches - Fortnightly lunches happen in the main room of Hickory house on Mondays. These happen on a Red Bin week and cost $10 for a homemade meal and dessert.

Please get in touch with the Dorrigo Support Centre by 9am on morning of to RSVP.

Service Australia is coming to Dorrigo! 🎉

Want to learn more about Australian Government payments and services for rural families, older Australians, students, job seekers, people with a disability, carers, farmer or self-employed people? Or are you a veteran or part of a veteran's family and would like to be connected to the Department of Veterans' Affairs phone or online services?

The Australian Government Mobile Service Centre will be able to support you in Dorrigo next week.

Our recent town lunch had an amazing turnout with over 20 seniors getting together at the Canopy Cafe! 🍃☕

Town lunches are held fortnightly with local cafes on rotation. We love this opportunity to get together, enjoy the company of our friends and family and enjoy a delicious meal. 🍽

New town signage planned for the Shire 🙌

The approach to the main townships in the Bellingen Shire will be enhanced with locally designed, contemporary town entry signs soon to be installed across the Shire.

Dorrigo Support Centre is planning a trip to Ballina this October! 🎉
The trip will include a day in Grafton dropping in to visit the Jacaranda Festival before heading to Ballina for four nights. 🎈

Happy Local Government Week! 🫣😄

Meet the superstars who work with our elderly residents on the plateau at Dorrigo Support Centre! 🏡

The DSC team work closely with elderly residents on the plateau to maintain their lifestyles and capacity to remain living in their own homes. The centre helps residents maintain friendships through social support activities like group lunches and outings ️, while continually advocating for them and providing support for their carers 🤝.

This Local Government Week, we are celebrating the impact Council services have on the wider community. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank the DSC team for their commitment to our community and for the hard work they put into supporting our seniors. We are so proud to be part of such an impactful and important local service 👏.
