I’d be lying if I said friendship was always something I found easy.
It’s something I really struggled with growing up. I was a cute little kid with glasses—and for a while, I even wore an eye patch. Through my Minnie Mouse frames, I longed for friendships that felt safe.
But instead, I often found myself in environments where other kids wanted to hurt or fight me. It was so bizarre… and so painful.
(Luckily for me, I’m a black belt in karate and kickboxing 🥊😅)
It wasn’t until I was around 22 that I finally met my soul tribe. That’s when I thought,
“Ahhh… so this is what real friendship feels like.”
It was a whole-body shift.
The kind of connection where you stand up for one another, show up for one another, and CHOOSE each other—over and over again.
My nervous system felt it immediately, even before I understood it on a deeper level.
Breathwork and somatic healing later helped me make sense of the shift I had experienced.
I’m deeply grateful for all the friendships I had before then—some were beautiful and taught me so much, others were painful but necessary.
They all brought me closer to where I am now.
Now, I don’t question my body’s wisdom when it speaks.
My intuition reads the room long before my mind does.
And I’m surrounded by friendships where I feel deeply seen and celebrated—for all of me.
My struggles. My story. My quirks. My icks.
And I am loved through all of it.
It’s so important to find the friends who feel like sunshine—because they do exist.
Just like you have to kiss a few toads to find your prince…
sometimes, you’ve got to navigate a few stormy seas before you find your sisters.
I’m so beyond grateful for mine ✨ You know who you are!! 🩷🧚♂️
So if you’re not feeling the love right now in your friendships—
please don’t settle.
You deserve connection that feels safe, honest, and soul-nourishing.
The kind where you don’t have to shrink or second-guess yourself.
Keep your heart open. Your people are out there.
And when they arrive…
you’ll feel the difference in your whole being 🙏
