Aging doesn’t mean slowing down, gone of the days of saying “it’s just old age”! Did you know that research shows strength training is one of the BEST ways to improve health, independence, and quality of life as we age. Here’s why:
• Increase your strength and stability
• Increase your bone density
• Improve your cardiovascular fitness
• Help with brain power
• Reduced your risk of fall
• Overall enhanced quality of life.
How:
• Aim for 2-3 strength sessions per week.
• Focus on compound movements (like squats, rows, and presses).
• Use resistance bands, free weights, or even your body weight!
• Progress gradually—start light and increase as you feel stronger
• Stay consistent - remember Rome wasn’t built in a day
