Calf strains often feel better before they’re fully healed ⚠️ Rushing back can put you at higher risk of re-injury.

Effective rehab goes beyond stretching and rest. At West Coast Physio, we focus on:
✔️ Restoring strength
✔️ Building endurance & power
✔️ Gradual, progressive walking, jogging, or running loads
✔️ Preparing your calf for everyday activities, sport, or active hobbies

Return to activity should be based on your calf’s capacity, not just how it feels 🏃🏻‍♂️💪

This is why rehab shouldn’t stop at gym strength alone.
Before returning to sport, we look for:
✔️capacity to tolerate load
✔️power to move fast
✔️plyometrics to absorb & re-use force
✔️control under fatigue

Reduced capacity in one area means the body will compensate, increasing re-injury risk.

Rehab prepares tissues for sport. It shouldn’t just focus on symptoms. Link in bio to book.

Pain can be scary, especially when it hangs around.
But pain doesn’t equal damage.
Your body is adaptable, not fragile. Most musculoskeletal pain improves when we address load, strength, movement, and recovery — and at West Coast we pride ourselves on helping you to address your concerns. Details in bio to book.

Rotator Cuff Related Shoulder Pain is an umbrella term that captures most common shoulder issues, because scans don’t always tell the full story. The good news? With the right mix of strengthening, load management, and education, it responds extremely well to physiotherapy. 💪
