What a fantastic day we had visiting Bittern Primary School as part of the Glasses for Kids program! We originally planned to see 20 students, but with such amazing enthusiasm and participation, that number grew to 38 kids! 🎉

It’s wonderful to see so many young learners excited about taking care of their eyes and setting themselves up for success in the classroom. A big thank you to the Bittern Primary team and the wonderful students for making the day such a joy! 💙

Last week we farewelled Zach, a final-year optometry student from The University of Melbourne, who has completed his two-week placement with us at Eyes On Dromana.

It has been a pleasure supporting Zach in this stage of his training and giving him experience in a community practice setting. We wish him every success as he continues his journey toward becoming an optometrist. 👏

He’s here for a two-week supervised internship, gaining hands-on clinical experience and putting his skills into practice.

Fun fact: Dromana isn’t the furthest Zach has travelled for training — earlier this year, he completed an optometry externship in India! 🌏
