A tough day for so many young men and women. A day that will no doubt shape their futures, the way they live their days and a day that will stay with them forever.
One I will most certainly not forget.
I’ll hold my babies close tonight

When a family sends you a message like this, it really hits you. Knowing that you have helped them means so much and gives you a little push in knowing you are on the right path.

An esky full of Vodka Cruisers graveside for a 94 year old cracker of a woman. She raised three burly sons and held her own. A wonderful woman who loved cats, a twirl on the dance floor with her grandsons, her daytime TV, driving really really slow and a Cruiser or 5

A beautiful reminder from this fun loving firecracker, to slow down, to savor the moment, to enjoy the music before it’s over.
She loved life, enjoyed it with a champagne in one hand, cig in the other, having a good laugh. All whilst being a supportive mother, raising a truly remarkable man.

It’s so comforting to know that we are actually helping make one of the worst days a little easier. That we can truly help families honor and celebrate the way they choose, supporting them and making it as smooth as possible.

Have a whisky sour, enjoy the things you love.
I like to learn something from every story I have the privilege of hearing and sharing. This one was a goodie, and so… I had the whisky sour.
I hope you’re enjoying a Manhattan right now, wherever you are T.H

This is beautiful. Dementia is so cruel, not just for those suffering the disease but for the loved ones around them.

When I am older
I might not remember
I might get confused
And I might lose my temper

And there may be times
When I don’t know your name
Because it’s been trapped,
Locked away in my brain

And though it will hurt
To think I could forget you
Offer me smiles,
Hold my hand if I’ll let you

And talk of adventures
We had long ago
Show me the photos
Of people I know

Play music we’ve danced to
And songs we have sung
Read me the books I read
When I was young

‘Cause your voice and your words
Might just be the key
That opens the door -
That unlocks it for me

And maybe the music
Will spark tiny embers
Of memories dormant
And I will remember

Your name and your face
And the words to our song
The times and the places
To which I’ve belonged

And it might last moments
Or minutes or more
As the fire sheds light
Through the crack in the door

But when the door closes
And gone are the flames
When you are once more
A stranger again

Just know you’ll have stirred something
Deep down inside
Something familiar
That I recognise

Something that’s real
That’s not stored in my head
But right at the core
Of my heart space instead

Something that’s stirred
By your smiles and your stories
The touch of your hand
And the songs you sing for me

And though I’ll have no words to tell you
Just trust
That deep down inside
I’ll remember

I’m loved

Today marks the start of Dementia Awareness week in the UK. I strongly believe this is something that needs awareness all year round but it seemed like a fitting time to share this again today.
Sending love, peace and compassion to anyone dealing with this - either directly or whilst caring for a loved one. Be kind to yourself.

Many believe the Monarch butterfly represents the souls of their ancestors returning to visit and bring comfort to loved ones.
They can also be viewed as a symbol of transformation and rebirth.
These stunning butterflies were added for a spiritual spirit because she believed in in what the monarch butterfly represents.
