My Child Therapy is directed by Natalie Tanner-Black and services families in Sydney’s inner west. Natalie is an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist who brings more than 10 years experience to her work with children and families. My Child Therapy provides children and families with the support and confidence to engage fully in everyday activities. We tailor therapy to assist children who have difficulties in the following areas:

- Self Care: Issues with toileting, limited food preferences, cutlery use, sleeping, dressing (buttons and shoelaces), wearing clothing, hair washing or haircuts etc.
- Kid’s Work/School Skills: Concerns with scissor skills, writing, attention, reading, following instructions, following routines, gross and fine motor skills- Play: Difficulties with social skills, pretend play, understanding emotions, sharing or turn taking

Steps involved when your child is referred to My Child Therapy:

Comprehensive Assessment:
An assessment is completed for each child at My Child Therapy. This is tailored to suit specific concerns raised by the teacher and/or parent

Therapy:
1) Individualised therapy
Tailored therapy programs which target key areas of concerns for each individual child. Therapy includes detailed written report of goals and strategies that will assist your child.

2) Group sessions
Group sessions focus on developing children's handwriting and fine motor skills. We work closely with schools and teachers to ensure sessions are educationally relevant. At My Child Therapy we not only focus on developing the motor aspects of handwriting but also work on boosting the children's planning of writing tasks.
