We’re kicking off Hearing Awareness Week (1-7 March) today, with this Sunday, 3 March!

This year’s campaign ‘Changing mindsets: Let’s make ear and hearing care a reality for all!’ 👂 spotlights the need for action on hearing health. It’s time for government, policy makers, the hearing health sector, and all Australians to walk the talk on equity of access to services and start a national conversation to reset how we value and talk about hearing health.
Let’s Rethink Hearing Health
Hearing Loss is more common than you think with almost 1 in 7 Australians affected at some stage of their lives. Also, a loss of communication, changes to hearing affect community, family and social connections, quality of life, mental health, and wellbeing at every age.

The Great Australian Hearing Health Challenge:
• Make hearing checks a healthy habit at every age along with eye tests or seeing the dentist to help prevent hearing loss and pick up changes earlier.
• Say no to stigma and misinformation and join the conversation to reset understanding about hearing health.
• Seek help and encourage others to seek help for hearing changes.
• Search Find an Audiologist for your nearest accredited audiologist.
