Today I had the honour of attending the Celebration of Life for an Indigenous gentlemen It was very cultural and it was absolutely beautiful. It is so sad for any family to say goodbye to a much loved family member and also for his community but they did so with so much love and respect I am grateful for the knowledge I gained today. Strength and prayers to all.

Went home to Tottenham today for a memorial service for a beautiful lady who lived a simple but valued life. She was a very staunch member of this little community and will be greatly missed. Her four children are a credit to her, she was always there for them . My deepest condolences go to her partner Noel and all her extended family at this extremely sad time, may your many great and happy memories bring you comfort and in time help you to smile when you speak her name. Rest in Peace Mary

Today I had the honour of officiating at the funeral of an amazing lady with a beautiful family. My heart hurts for these families at this difficult time but this was exceptional. This lady was an organ donor and as I have a family member on the waiting list I know personally just what a great gift this is. Recipients are eternally grateful beyond words never forgetting that another family is going through a very sad time. You have such mixed emotions as you are so very grateful but so sad for the family. I tell my family to make the decision now if you would like to be a giver of life while you are able to take the emotion out of it. Of course I wish no one ever had to be on either side of this decision but reality is there will always be . Thankyou beautiful kind lady two families have been given another chance to keep their loved one. May you rest in peace

I wish all a very happy and safe festive season. To those who have had to say goodbye to a loved one in this past year , it will be a bit tough, hold onto your special memories, cry if you need too, It will take time for your grief to ease ( there is no set time) , be kind to yourself. Hug all those you love close, stay safe , be humble, be kind and compassionate. May life shine brightly for all .

Today I was able to help a family lay their much loved family member to rest . It is always a sad task but one I am honoured and privileged to be able to do. Not only am I helping them through one of the hardest days they will ever face but it always grounds me. No one is here on this earth forever We all have a different journey which makes us the individual we are and no one’s journey is ever the same. I have a strong belief that no matter where a persons journey takes them their life and the way they lived it should be respected and honoured when their life comes to an end. It has taught me to let go of judgement have more compassion and to respect all. Tonight my heart hurts for this family and all families suffering grief and loss. Strength to all
