March is Epilepsy Awareness Month and part of the campaign is “Make March Purple” 💜
Around 250,000 Australians are living with epilepsy, and increasing awareness helps reduce stigma and improve understanding in the community.
Seizures can look different for everyone. If you or your child experience things like:
• unexplained seizures
• blackout episodes
• staring spells
• unusual movements or loss of awareness
…it’s important to speak with a doctor.
At Macquarie Health Collective, your GP can be the first step in assessment and support, and when needed, referrals can be made to specialists like Dr John Lawson Paediatric Neurologist, who has a special interest in Paediatric epilepsy and general neurology.
📞 Speak with our reception team or book online if you’d like to discuss concerns with one of our GPs.
