Hear our Heart Ear Bus Project A project of the Dubbo and District Parent Support Group for Deaf and Hearing Impaired Inc. Otitis Media is a big problem in children's health.

Our mission is to raise funds to continue our mobile children's ear education/health clinic that travels to schools in Dubbo and Districts. The project teaches ear health prevention and awareness as well as provides an Audiologists to diagnose children's hearing problems. From this we then provide the pathways to care for parents and schools. We also have access to a monthly free supported Ear Specialist clinic in Dubbo and supported Australian Hearing appointments. Our bus has been proudly donated by Sainsbury Automotive in Dubbo and fitted out by Alloy Welding and Ray Tobin signs who provided free manpower. Dubbo City Toyota provides our fuel.our staff are proudly funded by The Walter and Eliza Hall Charitable Foundation. It not only effects and reduces hearing it also causes social issues and learning difficulties. We want to combat this problem and with the communities help we can. Make sure you and your friends take part in one or more of the Hear Our Heart events as you may be saving your own or a relatives child's hearing in the future. ❤️What a lovely man Dr Hayder Ridha is!

Enjoying himself on holidays catching up on much needed sleep, he opened his clinic and saw one of our little ones who was in serious pain.

Wellington mum Toni had taken little Amarah to Wellington and Dubbo Base Hospitals yet Amarah was getting worse. So our President of Dubbo District Deaf Club, Peter Pringle put a call out for help and Dr Ridha came to the rescue ❤️

Isn’t Dr Ridha the best!

📣 WELLINGTON COMMUNITY DROP-IN CLINIC - THIS THURSDAY!

Hear Our Heart Ear Bus Project will be running free hearing & ear-health screenings for children aged 6 months to 18 years.

🗓 Thursday 11th December 2025
⏰ 10:00am–12:00pm
📍 Wellington Community Health Centre, Gisborne Street
💡 No booking required- Just drop in between 10am and 12pm!

If you’ve noticed your child saying “what?” more often, needing the TV louder, having trouble at school, or frequent ear infections… this is a great chance to have their ears checked by our friendly team.

There is no fee. Donations towards the Hear Our Heart Ear Bus Project are always appreciated to help us continue supporting local kids. EFTPOS available.

Our Healthy Ears Teacher Donna Lumber has had a busy few weeks teaching staff and children Gulargambone Pre-School Warren Preschool Kindergarten and Warren Little Possums.

On Tuesday, HoH’s Audiometry Nurse Amy, Nurse Screener Dana & Puppets Sam & Lucy visited Insight Early Learning Southlakes, Dubbo for their very first screening day! 👂✨

Insight Southlakes is the latest service to join the Hear Our Heart Ear Bus Project, and we’re so excited to be expanding our program across more early learning centres, giving even more children the opportunity to access hearing and ear health support. ❤️

The day ran smoothly, with wonderful staff and enthusiastic little ones who couldn’t wait to hop on the bus! We’re looking forward to visiting again in the new year and continuing to grow our reach across the community. 🚌

Team HoH visited Dubbo Public School yesterday! 👂✨

HoH Nurse Screener Dana was our clinician for the day, supported by HoH Project Manager Michaela. With the weather warming up, it was lovely to see how excited the students were to welcome The HoH Ear Bus back for Term 4 testing!

The Hear Our Heart Ear Bus Project will be visiting Yeoval Preschool for a Preschool & Community Clinic offering FREE ear health and hearing screenings for children aged 6 months to 18 years

These screenings help identify hearing concerns early, support learning and behaviour, and improve long-term outcomes for our kids.
