It’s Harmony Week! 🧡
Harmony Week is the national celebration that recognises Australia’s cultural diversity and brings together Australians from all different backgrounds. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.
As Australians, we have far more in common than we do differences.
Harmony Week is our annual opportunity to acknowledge that what we have built and continue to build is a dynamic, democratic nation and one of the world’s most successful multicultural societies.
It’s about inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians, from the Traditional Custodians of this land to our most recent arrivals!
This year, Harmony Week runs from 16–22 March 2026, and includes Harmony Day on Saturday 21 March, which is also the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
To show your support, you can choose to wear something orange this week the official colour of Harmony Week to show your support for cultural diversity and an inclusive Australia.
To learn more about Harmony Week and how you can get involved, head to 👉🏼 www.harmony.gov.au

🌏 International Day of People with Disability – 3 December 2025🌏
Theme: Fostering disability inclusive societies for advancing social progress

Today, Dubbo Medicare Mental Health Centre proudly recognises International Day of People with Disability. This year’s theme reminds us that true social progress is only possible when our communities are inclusive, accessible and shaped by people of all abilities.

We celebrate the strength, diversity and valuable contributions of people with disability in our local community. We remain committed to creating a safe, welcoming and supportive space where everyone feels respected, heard and empowered to access the care they need. 💛

Let’s continue working together to build a more inclusive and compassionate society, today and every day.

November 25th is White Ribbon Day.
White Ribbon Day is a global awareness day dedicated to ending violence against women and girls. It is part of the White Ribbon Campaign, which encourages men and boys to actively speak out against gender-based violence and commit to treating everyone with respect and equality.
This years theme is to create a world where Women and Girls are safe, equal and respected. A time to remember, reflect, listen and act for change to stop violence against women and girls before it starts.
Together, we speak up. Together, we make a difference.

Perinatal Mental Health Week reminds us that the journey into parenthood is different for everyone. It can feel joyful, overwhelming, exhausting and beautiful all at once. And for many families, those feelings can sit alongside some really tough moments.

Every year, thousands of new parents experience anxiety, depression or other perinatal mental health challenges. It is far more common than many people realise, and there is absolutely no shame in reaching out for support.

This year’s theme, “What you need, when you need it”, reminds us how important timely, compassionate care can be. Sometimes it is a listening ear, a practical strategy or simply someone who understands. Even small moments of support can make a world of difference.

At the Dubbo Medicare Mental Health Centre, you do not need a referral or an appointment. You can simply walk in. If things feel heavy or overwhelming right now, please know you are not alone. When you are ready, support is here.
