Western NSW PHN

Western NSW PHN WNSW PHN works to ensure our community receives the right care in the right place at the right time It’s a story of living off the land.

Western NSW Primary Health Network works to provide local communities with better access to improved health services. We work closely with General Practice, other health care providers, Local Health Districts, hospitals and the broader community to ensure services meet the health needs of the region. Our area covers both Far West and Western NSW Local Health Districts. The WNSW PHN’s Aboriginal motif was created by Wiradjuri artist Lewis Burns. A strong flowing river provides fresh, clean water for those living beside it in camps. At campfires, people cook from the earth, with abundant natural foods they’ve hunted and gathered. As a community, people respect the earth and their country, united in a healthy lifestyle.

Are you a rural generalist or did you train as one in NSW?

NSW Health invites you to take part in a short online survey to understand the attractions and barriers to rural generalists working in NSW, and what strategies can help.

Who can take part?
• Rural generalist trainees in NSW.
• Those who participated in rural generalist training in NSW (whether you completed training or not).
• Rural generalists currently working or who previously worked in NSW.

The survey takes 10-20 minutes, can be completed anonymously, and includes an option to indicate interest in a follow up interview to share your experiences in more detail.

Your input will directly inform potential recommendations for better supporting rural generalists and rural communities.
