A great way to meet some new people, make a bit of $ and give them some ideas about what would or does help to be more independent.

CID is running focus groups for young people with intellectual disability who are 15 to 25.

You will get paid $120 for coming to the focus group.

We want to find out what types of information are easy to understand and fun for young people with intellectual disability.

We will use what we find out for our Young Leaders project.

Our Young Leaders project supports young people with intellectual disability learn skills to take charge of their life.

You can come to a focus group on Monday 24 November or Thursday 27 November.

The focus group will be from 4pm to 6pm.

W***Y is a returnable 2D animated series created by Leighton-Dore and his husband, production designer Bradley Tennant.

Set in pre-smartphone Far North Queensland, the series follows Wilbur “W***y” Davis, a teenager grappling with sexuality, religion and masculinity while growing up on a struggling banana farm. With only a few misfit school mates, W***y escapes into a colourful inner world populated by a neurotic cast imaginary friends, voiced in the pitch trailer by Judith Lucy, Reuben Kaye, Danielle Walker and Anne Edmonds.

“We wrote these characters with Judith Lucy, Anne Edmonds, Danielle Walker and Reuben Kaye in mind, so to have their voices bring our story to life has been such a career highlight. We’re excited to share the work we’ve done with commissioners in Annecy, and are confident they’ll see something special in our W***y.”

Note: Leighton-Dore is a relative of mine.

Exclusive: Watch the proof-of-concept trailer for Ludo Studio and Mad Ones’ 'W***Y', a q***r coming-of-age animated sitcom created by Samuel Leighton-Dore and Bradley Tennant, which will be presented to buyers at Annecy.

This is for people with disability who have had a Counselling session. This will help Liz Dore decide if it is the right event for you. And if you are ready to meet others in this group and maybe swap contact details, if they want to. I want people to meet in a safe place, where each participants details and advocates are known.
