When it comes to food, Head Chef Vikas Chandra knows what it means to go above and beyond to provide comfort and dignity during difficult times.

Every day he tailors meals to each patient’s medical needs, cultural background, and personal preferences at Glengarry Private Hospital.

When one patient was struggling to eat because the meals felt unfamiliar, Vikas prepared traditional dishes from their culture. The change was immediate – their appetite returned, along with a renewed sense of comfort and connection.

Every month, Vikas also organises a staff lunch featuring cuisines from around the world. It’s no wonder he was nominated by his peers for the 2025 National Ramsay Way Awards. Congratulations, Vikas! We are lucky to have you on our team.

The suite is set to reduce travel times for patients in Perth’s northern suburbs, many of whom previously may have had to journey into the city for private chemotherapy.

This purpose built eight-bed chemotherapy suite means the local community will now have access to world class cancer care on their doorstep.

The newly established $3.2 million suite has been purpose-built: it is modern, filled with natural light, and welcoming to enhance patient comfort and healing.

Some leading oncologists will be joining us, led by pioneer in innovative cancer care, Dr Andrew Dean.

Time is of the essence when it comes to treating cancer and our rapid-access service enables GPs to refer newly diagnosed patients for a same day or next day oncologist consult.

This is an exciting milestone for our hospital, and most importantly, for cancer patients in Perth’s north.

It means residents living in Duncraig and surrounding areas will now have access to world class private cancer care at their doorsteps.
