Dungog Shire Palliative Care Volunteers provide FREE non-medical support to all residents in Dungog Shire diagnosed with a life-limiting illness, to help them live in dignity, peace and comfort. Our service has been active in Dungog Shire since 1994, available FREE of charge providing support to any resident across Dungog Shire,diagnosed with a life limiting illness,their carers and family. Our service can provide :

FREE supported TRANSPORT to medical appointments(including treatments within the shire and major treatment centres outside the shire e.g Newcastle,Maitland. FREE loan of EQUIPMENT e.g walkers, shower chairs,hospital bed,oxygen concentrators

FREE RESPITE and VISITS to home/hospital. Our MOTTO is "A caring hand to help"

๐Ÿฅญ๐ŸฅญThe Mango Fundraiser๐Ÿฅญ๐Ÿฅญ

Only use Bowen Special Mangoes which are more formally known as Kensington Pride Mangoes. They are packed in a single layer tray and each tray will usually have between 12 and 22 mangoes, with a total tray weight of approximately 7kg.

As well as having a great taste, Mangoes are packed with nutritional goodness โ€“ Vitamin C (one Mango contains your recommended daily allowance), Vitamin E, Beta-Carotene, antioxidants, Potassium & B Vitamins. They are low in fat & Cholesterol free.

When you buy Mangoes from the Mango Fundraiser you know the fruit is coming directly from the farm to you. Your mangoes arenโ€™t being held for long periods in storage or ripening rooms.

The Friends of Palliative Care Inc Annual Mango Fundraiser is back for a 5th year!๐Ÿฅญ

Weโ€™ve changed up the way orders are made, as our volunteers have spent a lot of time previously chasing up payments.
You will now need to pay when placing your order to streamline and lessen the work for our incredible volunteers.

Palliative Care NSW and a number of local organisations were invited to present and connect the community with services, information, and education.
Together, we aim to build greater understanding of palliative care and highlight its vital role in supporting patients, carers, and their loved ones.

Friendly reminder about the Palliative Care Week church service at 6:30pm tonight, honouring those we have loved and lost. Please come join us ๐Ÿฆ‹

Please join us for our annual Palliative Care Week church service, held for everyone in our Shire community to come together and affectionately remember our loved ones who have passed.

The service begins at 6:30pm on Sunday 18th of May at Christ Church Anglican Church, corner Dowling and Chapman Streets, Dungog. Supper will be provided for all attendees after the service.
