SJ's Equine Bodyworks

SJ's Equine Bodyworks Provides Equine Bodywork to improve horse's overall flexion, balance and gait. SJ’ Equine Bodyworks is owned by and operated by Sarah Stewart.

Sarah has owned horses for 30 years and has been working in the equine industry since 2015. Sarah is a Reiki Master and qualified practitioner in Equine Tension Release Therapy (ETRT). SJ’s Equine Bodyworks can improve your horse’s flexibility, responsiveness, softness and overall structural balance, through the application of gentle pressure and manipulation of muscle and soft tissue techniques. These techniques are designed to relax your horse so your horse can restore balance, heal, recover, and be comfortable ready for their next ride. If your horse is not performing at it’s best, than contact Sarah Stewart for a chat about your horse on 0427 676 226 or via messenger through Facebook.

I've had a great week working in my hometown of Tamworth, servicing the areas of Upper Moore Creek, Daruka, Bendemeer, Nemingha, Duri, Westdale and Woolomin.

Let me introduce you to "Father and Son" SCH Ten Diamonds (Stanley), Party Pie, and their dedicated owner Nicole from Woolomin.

Both horses had bodywork sessions for different reasons. Party Pie is 3 years old and is being started under saddle, so he was tight and sore from general riding and getting used to a saddle and rider.

Stanley enjoys competing in Reined Cowhorse and Ranch Trail events, so he had holding patterns of tension from a high level of athletic activity.

Your horse won't tell you when the little aches begin. They just keep going. Regular bodywork catches tension early, keeping them comfortable, free moving, and a happy horse

FYI - this should be interesting! I will be attending ☺️

This week, I've been working in the Hunter Valley. Let me introduce you to Cameron Boyle and Hush from

Cameron won my equine bodywork gift voucher from the Scone Pony Club raffle where over $1000 worth of tickets were sold!

Hush is the lucky horse reaping the benefits from a free bodywork session. Hush is a new addition to the herd and is learning how to fit into the Equestrian Riding Centre way of life.

Have a great weekend! 🐎 ♥️

Friday was a 13-hour day working with horses in Boggabri, Baan Baa, and Narrabri in North West NSW.

Let me introduce you to Corrina and her horses, London, Westie, and Crazy from Boggabri. These horses form part of a Polocrosse team and are ridden 3 times a week plus compete regularly. These horses receive regular bodywork to keep them comfortable and keep their fascia and muscles moving freely so they can be ready to do whatever is asked of them.

Competition horses are like competing athletes. They require training (or work for horses) and require regular maintenance to be able to perform at their best. An athlete that just trains and doesn't look after their body will no doubt experience some level of soreness or stiffness.

Horses are no different - bodywork isn't a luxury, it's maintenance, so they can perform their best for you every time.

Meet Sony the Pony 😍 standing at 8.3hh, with her owner, Sarah Clementi from Maitland Vale 😊 . Sony loves hanging out with a herd of 6 other horses, enjoys being part of a loving family, and getting the odd bodywork session from time to time.

My Hunter Valley trip this week saw me working with a wide range of horses and across many disciplines in the areas of Wattle Ponds, Maitland Vale, Clarence Town, Sawyers Gully, Bishops Bridge, Doyles Creek (Jerry's Plains region) and Scone.

Here's a snapshot of just some of the horses I worked with:

🐴 Young stock horses recently started under saddle, enjoying team penning, general riding, and stock horse challenges.
🐴 OTTB entering the casual riding or showing stage of their life.
🐴 Warmblood in training for the Dressage, Show jumping arena.
🐴 All-rounder Welsh ponies.

My job is a joy! I get to meet lovely people who want their horses to feel their best 🐎

The acknowledgement of gratitude from these horses makes my heart sing, and there is no better feeling 🙏 😁

Good morning to everyone 🙋‍♀️🐎

Life has been full on lately with both client sessions and my world outside the paddock.

I've been quiet on here, but I'm still here working with the horses I love. I look forward to reconnecting and sharing content with you very soon.
