Did you know that Warrah invites young people to volunteer and live onsite for 12 months?

In partnership with Freunde-Waldorf, we’ve just welcomed seven young people from Germany who will spend the next year contributing their energy and skills to our school, farm, and farm shop.

Their presence brings so much more than an extra set of hands. They share their youthful enthusiasm, fresh perspectives, and cultural experiences, enriching the lives of our students, participants, and community. In return, they get the chance to immerse themselves in Warrah life and explore the beauty of Australia during their term breaks.

We’re excited for the year ahead. Please join us in giving our new arrivals a warm Warrah welcome.

Every week, our participants roll up their sleeves at the Dural Men’s Shed, working side by side with the Shed's highly skilled volunteers.

Together, they’ve built everything from possum boxes and bird feeders to wooden tongs and even hockey tables! Each project brings new skills, confidence, a sense of achievement, and plenty of good times along the way.

This partnership is about more than woodworking. It’s about friendship, mentorship, and creating opportunities for people of all abilities to learn and contribute.

A huge thank you to the Dural Men’s Shed team for generously sharing your time, tools, and talents with our community. We appreciate your ongoing support and partnership.

Every year, our participants, students and staff pull on their favourite jerseys to support Jersey Day, an initiative that sparks important conversations about organ and tissue donation.

Even though the day has now past, we wanted to take a moment to help raise awareness. Jersey Day is inspired by the story of Nathan Gremmo, who became an organ donor at just 13 years old and went on to save six lives. His legacy reminds us how one choice can make an extraordinary difference.

Right now, more than 1,600 Australians are waiting for a life-saving transplant. Yet only 50% of eligible families agree to donate their loved one’s organs.

We’re proud to have joined this nationwide movement, and to keep the conversation going in our community.

Here are some of our participants and staff showing their support on the day.

We had such a fun day at the recent interschool athletics carnival at Blacktown International Sports Park. Our students participated in everything from long jump, high jump, running races, and even shotput! They shone brightly as usual, with their enthusiasm and determination. What a wonderful way to end the term. Happy term break everyone! See you all on 15 October ✨✨

Our Kindy to Year 3 students have loved the farming program this term.

Each week, they worked alongside Farmer Stephanie and their teachers, developing essential skills such as weeding, planting, watering, and harvesting.

The students particularly enjoyed tasting the fresh produce they had grown, which gave them a strong sense of pride and accomplishment. This hands-on experience not only supported their understanding of where food comes from but also encouraged teamwork, responsibility, and respect for nature.

Our much-loved Waaia Café, home of our award-winning scones, will be closed from 26 September to 31 October while we undergo some much-needed bathroom renovations.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, these upgrades will make Waaia even more welcoming and accessible for all.

💡 What’s happening?
• Bathroom upgrade – proudly funded by the Commonwealth of Australia, Stronger Communities Programme.

• Additional bathroom & laundry improvements – made possible thanks to the generosity of everyone who donated to our Tax Appeal.

We can’t wait to welcome you back on October 31 with fresh facilities – and, of course, the same award-winning scones you know and love.

Thank you for your patience and support as we make Waaia even better for our community.

🌸 Thank you for a wonderful Spring Picnic! 🌸

We are so grateful to everyone who generously contributed and came out to share the day with us. It truly couldn’t have been more perfect. Sunshine, smiles, and the joy of community were in abundance.

These moments of coming together are so precious. 💛 Thank you to our entertainers, stallholders, donors, volunteers, and all who helped make the day such a success. And most importantly, thank you to our participants, students and their families. It is always a special time when we can all celebrate as a community.

Here are some of our favourite photos – we hope they bring back the magic of the day!
