From 1 February 2026, Angel House Australia steps into a new name and a truer expression of its soul work: Amanzi Health.

This evolution honours who I have become and what my work has always been about - healing, heart resonance, and the living intelligence of energy moving through all things. As a qualified mental health and energy healing practitioner for the Embodied IChing, and after 29 years of embodying the human–horse heart resonance as my core healing model, I felt a deep, undeniable call to align my business name with the essence of this path.

The Science of the Heart: The human heart generates a magnetic field 5,000 times stronger than the brain's - and this heart vibration becomes exponentially more powerful through horse heart resonance. Simply standing by a horse's shoulder places you at the centre of their massive electromagnetic energy field. As human and horse hearts entrain and merge, profound healing occurs naturally - without words, effort, or technique. Nervous systems settle. Old patterns dissolve. Truth emerges.

In the Embodied IChing teachings - rooted in more than 5,000 years of ancient Chinese wisdom - the Water element is intimately connected with the heart chakra: the place of courage, truth, emotion, and unconditional love. Water flows where it needs to go, softening what is rigid, carrying what is heavy, and carving new pathways through what once seemed impossible. It holds memory, transmits feeling, and returns again and again in an endless cycle of renewal.

The African (Xhosa) word "Amanzi" means water.

For me, Amanzi perfectly captures:

The beauty of the human–horse heart resonance - that silent, powerful communication where hearts merge across species.

The essence of healing the body and energy field through connection with the water element - fluid, adaptable, life-giving.

The simple, universal truth that no living being can survive without water. It restores, revives, heals, and brings life.

The bottom line: Human beings must learn to trust their hearts (feelings) more than their minds (thoughts). The heart is infinitely more powerful, wise, and connected than the brain could ever be.

This is what my work - with and without the horses - has always represented. Amanzi Health is not just a brand; it is a living symbol of my soul journey on this earth.

In my own path of transformation - moving through grief, trauma, injury, rebuilding, and the "impossible" initiations life has handed me - water has been my teacher: to yield without giving up, to flow around obstacles, to start again after every fall. AMANZI is the word that most truthfully sums up the essence of me: resilient, feeling, ever-flowing, and devoted to bringing life where there has been drought.

This transition from Angel House Australia to Amanzi Health is a sacred renewal - an invitation to begin 2026 on a clean slate, with deeper integrity and clearer alignment to the work I am here to do.

On Being There: Truths About Holding the Night

There was a time I was on speed dial for those in crisis. I’ve spent countless nights sitting with clients who wanted, above all else, to know they weren’t alone—a silent witness to their pain, sometimes doing nothing more than listening, just being present. People sometimes ask if these calls are hard. The truth? I always felt it was a privilege. Not once did anyone take their own life on my watch. I used to half-joke about it—Not. On. My. Watch.

Isn’t it funny, though? I’ve so often been told I was the safe harbour for others, that people could count on me to show up, not just to say “I’m here if you need me,” but to prove it, in the shattering hours. And yet, I’m the one person I know who wrestles the deepest, most persistent longing to slip away. The one whose faith in humanity wears thinner every time I see how easy it is to say the words, and how rare it is to make them real.

It’s easy to say you’ll be there—so easy to promise “Reach out if you need me”—but how many actually check in? How many do the inconvenient, unglamorous work of showing up when the crisis stretches beyond a single night, when the pain doesn’t evaporate with dawn? When people look back after losing someone, how often do they say, “Well, I told them to reach out,” as if that’s the same as being there?

Let’s be honest: that’s for your conscience, not for them. Because someone’s pain doesn’t disappear overnight. Trauma rarely ends with a single call, or because you handed out uplifting quotes. Unless by some miracle, they suddenly win the Lotto, find the love they seek, or experience a life-changing breakthrough, it doesn’t just go away.

If you love someone—really love them—choose more than words. Don’t just say you care. Be that persistent presence, inconvenient and real, who doesn’t drift away when it gets too hard. Because sometimes, the world breaks a person open so thoroughly that showing up—again and again—is the only miracle left
