Turn your daily walk into a learning adventure 🌿
Allied health therapists and Educators encourage families to make the most of everyday moments. On your next walk, try talking about the sounds you hear, spotting and naming things, or following fun movement challenges like hopping, balancing, and copying big steps.
These simple, playful activities can support your child’s language, listening, balance, and coordination—all while exploring the world together.
Small steps can make a big impact šŸ’™

Through bubble play, children practise language (ā€œpopā€, ā€œupā€, ā€œmy turnā€), breath control, and whole-body movement—guided by our Allied Health team and Educators using therapy through play.

Your choice matters. Connection matters. Community matters.

At Icaria Health, we’re proud to support our community with a diverse, multidisciplinary team — including both female and male clinicians — so you can work with clinicians who you connect with best.

This photo highlights many of our male clinicians working across paediatric and adult services, alongside the wider Icaria team supporting people every day.

šŸ“ø Missing from this photo is our administration officer Nik, who plays a vital role behind the scenes.

šŸ‘‰ If having choice in who you work with is important to you, we’re here.

Behind every safe transfer is strong clinical reasoning šŸ’”

Kiara recently attended hands‑on training with an , building her knowledge around hoists and slings and how to prescribe them safely and effectively. The session explored different systems, with a strong focus on matching the person, environment, and functional goals to the most appropriate equipment.
This photo shows Kiara practicing a transfer using a gantry hoist — a removable alternative to a ceiling hoist — supporting safe and dignified transfers from bed to wheelchair or chair. Ongoing professional development like this ensures evidence‑informed, person‑centred care at Icaria.

We’re committed to continuous learning to support safer outcomes.

Some milestones are worth pausing to celebrate šŸŽ“

Our New Graduate Program participants have officially graduated university — an important academic milestone early in their graduate journey with Icaria Health.

Since joining our one‑year New Graduate Program in February, they have already made a meaningful contribution. In a short space of time, they’ve demonstrated professionalism, care and a thoughtful approach to practice, while building strong relationships across the team and with the people we support.

They have integrated seamlessly into the organisation and are already a valued part of our day‑to‑day operations. We’re proud to support them as they continue to develop their clinical skills and grow throughout the remainder of their graduate year.

Please join us in congratulating our graduates on this significant achievement.
