Despite it being a cold, raining afternoon residents were happy get together in the Community Centre to watch the Melbourne Cup. Lovely to see the fascinators and hats the ladies were wearing. Two ladies made theirs with flowers from their gardens.
Whether a bet was laid, won or lost, most were happy that the Australian entry, with a female jockey, won the day.

On the last Friday of each month the Social Committee organises a birthday dinner to celebrate those who have had a birthday during that month. It is always a popular event and well attended.
The tables are beautifully decorated and flowers from the village gardens add to the decor.
The Bar Committee have the bar open for people to add their favourite beverage to the evening.
Entertainment by Garry O'Brien Music is enjoyed during the meal and by those who love a dance afterwards.

The ladies of Murray Gardens are always pleased to have a fashion house bring the new seasons clothes into the village. Resident volunteers showcase some of the clothing while they are described. A browse amongst the racks is a must to view and feel the lovely fabrics. Thanks to U & I Fashions for this morning's show.

Spring has sprung and the gardens are looking fantastic! A short stroll around the village brings such a feeling of relaxation and joy. The vibrant colours of the flowers, the aroma of the blossoms and the delightful birdsong. Why not make it part of your daily routine?

Today we’re celebrating the dads, grandads, stepdads and father figures who bring wisdom, support, and the (occasional) dad joke to our communities.

This Anzac Day, we come together to mark the 110th anniversary of the Gallipoli landing—one of our nation's most significant occasions. It is a day that holds deep meaning for many of our residents and their families as we reflect, remember, and honour the courage and sacrifice of our service men and women.

Congratulations to our very own Heather, Albury’s Senior Citizen of the Year!

Heather has dedicated over 14 years to making a difference through The Carevan Foundation and is a valued member of our residents’ committee.

At our recent Residents Meeting, we had the pleasure of presenting her flowers on behalf of RetireAustralia to celebrate this incredible achievement.

Heather shared a heartfelt speech about Carevan’s vital work and expressed her gratitude to Murray Gardens residents for their generous donations – helping create over 300 Christmas hampers for families in need.

Well done, Heather! This recognition is so well-deserved. 💐👏
