Sauna therapy works gently yet effectively within the body’s natural systems.

🔥 Enhances circulation supporting oxygen and nutrient delivery to tissues under inflammatory stress

🔥 Relieves muscular tension allowing surrounding structures to soften and reduce joint compression

🔥 Softens joint stiffness warming tissues to improve comfort and ease of movement

🔥 Supports fluid movement encouraging healthy lymphatic flow

🔥 Assists inflammatory balance helping regulate the body’s response to physical load over time

When integrated thoughtfully, sauna can be a supportive addition to joint care and overall recovery ❤️‍🩹

How often should you get a remedial massage?

Less about a fixed rule. More about what your body is asking for.

If you’re in pain or managing an injury, consistency matters.
If you train hard, recovery needs to match your load.
If you sit all day or carry stress in your neck and shoulders, tension will accumulate whether you notice it or not.

The goal isn’t to wait until something flares up.
The goal is to stay ahead of it.

Think of it like maintaining your car. You service it to protect performance and longevity, not just when something goes wrong. Your body deserves the same approach.

Preventative. Corrective. Intentional.

If you’re unsure what frequency is right for you, we assess properly and tailor it - not guess.

Consistency always wins

We are pleased to welcome Kristie to our team 🤍

Kristie is a Canadian trained Registered Massage Therapist who brings together clinical rehabilitation experience with the refined care of luxury spa environments. After graduating from Langara’s Registered Massage Therapy Program, she built her foundation working across rehabilitation clinics in British Columbia, supporting a wide range of conditions from athletic performance through to neurological rehabilitation.

With a strong passion for movement, fitness and human anatomy, Kristie’s approach blends therapeutic precision with a deeply client focused philosophy. She believes successful manual therapy begins with trust and understanding, and each treatment is thoughtfully tailored to the individual’s goals, needs and comfort.

Her treatments incorporate deep tissue and Swedish techniques, myofascial release, ART, joint mobilisation, assisted stretching, rehabilitative exercises and client education. Allowing sessions to range from targeted therapeutic care to restorative relaxation.

Clients often describe her style as gentle yet strong and supportive, and we are excited for you to experience her care here at Nuance Massage!

Kristie is in the Clinic Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays with Sunday availability opening up in March. Bookings now available online.

The Rottnest Channel is long. Repetitive. Honest.
And over that distance, even small areas of tightness can start to work against you.

Pre-swim massages at Nuance are designed to help you move freely, breathe easier and feel confident heading into race day. It’s not about going heavy or leaving sore, it’s about creating space through the shoulders, back and hips so your body can do what you’ve trained it to do.

Less tension.
Better rotation.
Smoother strokes.

You’ve put in the kilometres. Now give your body the attention it needs before you line up.

Stillness is not doing nothing.
It’s listening.

In the quiet, the breath slows.
The nervous system softens.
The body remembers how to let go.

Rest is essential care.
Not a reward.
Not something you earn, something you need.

When we allow ourselves to be still, healing has space to begin.

This is where the body exhales.

Hormonal shifts during perimenopause can affect how your body feels and responds. These can show up in many ways including
• Muscle tension or joint discomfort
• Fatigue or disrupted sleep
• Increased stress or nervous system overload
• Temperature sensitivity and circulation changes

Support during this phase is about care that adapts.

Massage therapy can help by easing muscular tension, supporting circulation, and calming the nervous system. This allows the body to settle, restore, and respond more comfortably during a time of change.

Infrared sauna can further support relaxation, circulation, and stress regulation, helping the body soften and release rather than remain in a constant state of load.

This is not about pushing through symptoms. It is about thoughtful care that meets your body where it is.

Think of your body like a finely tuned machine - training challenges it, massage cares for it, and hydration keeps it running smoothly.

When you work out your muscles break down and produce waste that needs to be cleared. Water helps carry nutrients in, flush toxins out, and keep tissues pliable. During a massage, well-hydrated muscles respond better, tension releases more easily, and circulation improves, helping your body recover faster.

Skipping on hydration isn’t just missing a sip, it’s missing a key part of recovery. Nourish your body inside and out, and it will move, repair, and perform at its best.

Our hormones are constantly communicating with the body - shaping mood, energy, sleep, digestion, cycle health and emotional balance. When stress runs high, these hormonal rhythms can feel disrupted.

Massage therapy offers more than muscle relief. Through calming, supportive touch, it may help influence the hormones and nervous system pathways linked with connection (oxytocin), stress regulation (cortisol), mood (serotonin & dopamine) and restful sleep (melatonin).

A regulated body supports regulated hormones.
A calmer nervous system supports a calmer cycle.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, tense, or out of rhythm with your body, we’d love to support you.

Training hard is only half the equation - the real gains come from how well you recover 💪🏼

Deep Tissue Therapy works into the deeper layers of muscle and fascia where stubborn tightness and movement restrictions can build up from lifting, running, repetitive work, or high-load training.

The goal isn’t just to ‘loosen tight spots’, but to support better mobility, cleaner movement patterns and faster recovery so your body can perform at its best.
You might notice:
• more ease in your range of motion
• reduced tension in high-load areas
• improved training readiness in the days that follow

If you want a body that keeps up with your training, not one that holds you back, this belongs in your recovery routine.
