🧘💭 THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK ~ Buddhist wisdom to contemplate and practise

'It is said there exists a magic crystal that has the power to purify any liquid in which it is placed. Those who cherish all living beings are like this crystal, by their very presence they remove negativity from the world and give back love and kindness.'

We all have painful experiences from the past that can influence how we respond to life today. Often, we hold onto feelings of anger, hurt, or blame, whether towards ourselves, others, or situations. Through meditation, we can uncover the true source of these emotions and gently release them, creating space for a sense of relief and joy.

OUR 4TH ANNUAL TEA AND PEACE 🥰 We had a delightful time welcoming everyone to our annual Mother's Day weekend guided meditation and high tea.

We learnt about creating our own happiness from within and meditated on love with Gen Kelsang Tara then enjoyed a lovingly prepared high tea served by a team of our volunteers all dressed in their best.

Thank you to everyone who attended - it was a pleasure to spend the morning with you. And thank you to all the volunteers who helped make this event possible 🩷

Every day we remember the extraordinary kindness of Venerable Geshe-la, our Root Guru and Founder of the New Kadampa Tradition, but on this auspicious day, with minds of rejoicing and gratitude, we will offer him our faith through using the special prayer Request to the Holy Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso from his Faithful Disciples and collecting our Guru’s name mantra in a one-day retreat.

Do not contemplate your own good qualities but contemplate the good qualities of others, ans respect everyone as a servant would.'
