🌟 Happy International Day of Happiness! 🌟

Today, we celebrate the importance of happiness in our lives and in our communities. This year's theme, "Caring and Sharing," serves as a beautiful reminder that happiness is not just an individual pursuit; it's a collective responsibility we all share.

As mental health professionals, we recognise that it’s perfectly normal to experience a range of emotion - happiness, sadness, frustration, and everything in between. We don’t have to be happy all the time, and that’s okay. What matters is how we support each other through life’s ups and downs.

Simple acts of caring and sharing, whether it’s offering a listening ear, providing support, or sharing a smile, can create a positive ripple effect, enhancing the well-being of those around us.

Together, we can create a culture of compassion that prioritises mental health and encourages genuine connections making our communities more supportive, inclusive, and understanding. 💛

Supporting the UMatter Awareness Su***de Prevention Memorial Walk

This Friday, 21st February, UMatter Awareness will be holding their third annual Su***de Prevention Memorial Walk at Maitland Park, running from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM Saturday, 22nd February.

This meaningful event is about starting conversations, breaking down stigma, and honoring those lost to su***de. It’s open to everyone, whether you choose to walk a lap, stay for a chat, or simply show your support.

💙 Why this matters:
Su***de affects individuals, families, and communities in profound ways. Raising awareness and creating safe spaces for open conversations can help reduce stigma and remind those who are struggling that they are not alone.

If you or someone you know would like to take part, you’re welcome to join at any time during the event. Even if you’re unable to walk, stopping by for a chat, a coffee, or simply offering support can make a difference.

Let’s help spread the message: You matter. Your story matters. Hope is always possible.
