Retreat cracks the heart open.

Not with force, but with space.

Space to hear yourself again beneath the noise.
Space to soften the armour you didn’t realise you were wearing.
Space to remember that your life is more than schedules, responsibilities and the endless tending to everyone else.

I’m home with a heart full of gratitude for every soul who said yes to this experience. For the courage it takes to step away. For the honesty that rises when there is nowhere to hide. For the laughter, the tears, the wild beauty of what unfolds when people are truly met.

This work changes lives because it changes the way we meet ourselves.

Thank you for trusting me, for trusting the practice, and for walking beside me.

Until next time, see you on the mat,

Fy x

Retreat is not an escape.

It is a return.

A return to breath. To body. To truth. To the quiet voice within that daily life can so easily drown out.

I’ve come home deeply moved by what I witnessed. People laying down what no longer serves them. People laughing from the belly. People resting more deeply than they have in years. People remembering their own wholeness.

What an honour to hold spaces where this becomes possible.

My gratitude is fierce and tender all at once.

Thank you to every person who stepped in with an open heart.

Before yoga was ever about poses,
it was about how we live.

In the teachings of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the path begins with ten gentle guides - the Yamas and Niyamas.

You might think of them as a doorway.

A quiet threshold we are invited to step through - again and again - as we learn to live with greater awareness.

The Yamas guide how we meet the world:

Ahimsa - kindness
Satya - truth
Asteya - integrity
Brahmacharya - wise use of energy
Aparigraha - letting go

The Niyamas guide how we meet ourselves:

Saucha - clarity
Santosha - contentment
Tapas - commitment
Svadhyaya - self-reflection
Ishvara Pranidhana - trust

They are not rules.

They are simply a doorway into practice.

A way of living where each breath, each interaction, each moment of awareness becomes part of the path.

The door is always open.

All we ever need to do…
is step through. 🚪

Over the past weeks we have been walking gently through the Niyamas - the inner observances of yoga. 🙌

In the wisdom of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, they offer a quiet map for how we relate to ourselves.

✨Saucha reminds us to clear what clouds the heart.
✨Santosha invites contentment with what is already here.
✨Tapas tends the steady fire of commitment.
✨Svadhyaya asks us to look inward with honesty and curiosity.
✨Ishvara Pranidhana softens us into trust and surrender.

They are not rules to perfect.

They are gentle companions for the path.

Small practices of awareness that weave their way into everyday life - the breath we notice, the pause we take, the kindness we offer ourselves when things feel imperfect.

In this way yoga slowly moves beyond the mat
and becomes a way of living.

And perhaps that is the quiet gift of these teachings -
not that we become better…

but that we become more present to the life already unfolding.

There comes a moment in practice when effort softens.

The breath deepens.
The mind quiets.
Something within begins to trust.

In the teachings of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, this is called Ishvara Pranidhana - surrender. 🌙

Not giving up.

But letting go of the idea that we must carry everything alone.

We offer the practice.
The breath.
The effort.

And we allow life to meet us there.

It is a gentle remembering that we are part of something vast, intelligent and deeply supportive.

Sometimes the most powerful movement in yoga…
is the moment we soften and allow.

Find your surrender this week with us...

One of the most beautiful invitations within yoga is this:

Know yourself. 🧘

In the teachings of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, this is called Svadhyaya - the practice of self-study.

Not self-criticism.
Not fixing or improving.

Simply seeing clearly.

Through practice we begin to notice the small things:

✨How the breath changes with emotion.
✨Where the body holds tension.
✨Which thoughts visit again and again.

Little by little, awareness grows.

And with awareness comes choice.

Svadhyaya reminds us that the mat is not a place to become someone new -
but a place to gently remember who we already are.

Our classes a built on the foundation of Yogic Philosophy.

Tapas 🔥

There is a quiet fire that lives inside every practice.

In the teachings of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, this fire is called Tapas.

Often translated as discipline or austerity, Tapas is not about pushing harder or striving for perfection. It is the steady warmth of commitment - the willingness to keep showing up for what matters.

To breathe when life feels busy.
To move when the body feels heavy.
To sit in stillness when the mind would rather run.

Tapas is the sacred friction that polishes us.
It is how practice slowly becomes transformation.

Every class, every breath, every moment of awareness is a small offering to that inner flame.

And over time, it begins to illuminate the path.

Stoke your fire this week with us....

Sometimes a space opens where it wasn’t expected.

A place has become available on our Bali Yoga and Meditation Retreat this March, and I felt to offer it to our wider community before releasing it more broadly.

This retreat is a chance to step away from the noise of everyday life and return to the quiet rhythms of practice - morning meditation, pranayama and yoga, nourishing food, rest, and the beauty of Bali held within a small and supportive group.

One private room is currently available.

If Bali has been whispering to you, this may be the opening.

Send me a message if you would like the details or feel called to join us.

Join us for Kirtan this Sunday with Angelique Peace it Together and our Teachers!

I attended a kirtan with some old friends last Friday night (thanks Maitreya and friends for a great night!). I don't often get to enjoy kirtan in the audience as I'm usually up there playing, so it was aaahhhh-mazing to chant and sway and clap and laugh and feel deeply and reconnect to myself and community. I was on a gentle high all weekend!

We're holding kirtan at Living Peace this Sunday at 5pm. If you've come before, you know what to expect and no doubt you want a dose of the love and healing vibration which comes with a good chanting sesh! If you haven't done kirtan before, then you're in for a treat! No experience required....you just need a heart!

Hope to see you there.

Bookings required.

Namaste beautiful community 🌿

We gently turn from the Yamas - the way we meet the world, and step into the Niyamas, the observances.

If the Yamas are about relationship with others, the Niyamas are about intimacy with ourselves.

In the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, they are described as personal disciplines - not rigid rules, but quiet commitments.

They live in the small, daily choices:
How we speak to ourselves.
How we breathe under pressure.
Whether we soften or push.
How we prepare our mat, our thoughts, our food.

This week we begin with Saucha - purity and clarity.

Not perfection.
Not performance.
But spaciousness.

A tidy mat.
A steady breath.
A mind less crowded with old stories.

On the mat, Saucha might look like choosing alignment over ambition.
In life, it may be clearing a drawer… or releasing a habit of self-criticism.

Underneath the noise, you are already whole.

✨ Join us this week:

Monday 6:00pm – Foundations (Beginners welcome)
Tuesday 9:30am – Gentle Hatha
Wednesday 8:30am – Yin
Wednesday 6:00pm – Restorative
Friday 8:00am – Strong & Slow
Friday 9:30am – Somatic
Saturday 8:00am – Foundations

✨ Monday Beginners continues
✨ One place remains for Yin & Yoga Nidra Immersion – 20 March
✨ One place remains for Ubud Retreat – 22 March

Sometimes the most advanced practice is simply to begin again.

We look forward to sharing the mat with you.
