ATIC lead investigator Professor John Wentworth speaks to Diabetes Victoria about the latest campaign to screen family members for type 1 diabetes in the Type1Screen program, in preparation for the exciting trials coming to Australia by 2026!

"We need to screen as many people as we can. To find a cure for type 1 diabetes, we need the community to get involved. Please encourage your relatives to get screened. This is a call to parents and grandparents, round up the kids and have a screening day.” >>> https://bit.ly/4k61MMV

Thanks for your help spreading the word about this new trial Breakthrough T1D Australia!

Please reach out if someone you know has recently been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.

A new type 1 diabetes (T1D) clinical trial is recruiting now!

Researchers are looking for adults living with T1D to test a promising treatment aimed at protecting the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas from the immune system attack that drives the condition. The trial is called T1D Obtain.

If you're aged between 18 and 35 years, have been recently diagnosed with T1D and reside in Victoria, NSW or Queensland, you may be eligible to take part.
