The PBAC has reversed a decision to cut GPs’ prescribing rights for preservative-free eye drops used to treat people with severe dry eye disease.

There’s still time to submit an expression of interest for the 2027 RACGP Education Research Grants Program (ERG).
The ERG provides funding for education research projects aligned with RACGP research priorities, with grants available for:
• 12‑month projects – up to $150,000
• 24‑month projects – up to $300,000

RACGP Queensland Pop-Up Flu Vaccination Clinic at Parliament House
Last week representatives from RACGP Queensland & CSL-Seqirus ran a pop-up flu prevention clinic at Parliament House in Brisbane. The event was to increase awareness and health preparedness, reduce the impact of seasonal influenza, and highlight practical actions that help protect individuals, workplaces, and the broader community. GPs were at the pop-up clinic throughout the day to answer influenza questions and administer vaccinations to Queensland MPs and Parliamentary staff.
