AI isn’t replacing embryologists. It’s backing them. 🦾

Advanced AI technology helps analyse embryo development in extraordinary detail. But the decisions that matter most are still guided by expert embryologists, professionals who understand the nuances, the context, and the bigger picture of your care.

The future of IVF lies in combining intelligent technology with human expertise - enhancing accuracy while keeping care, judgement and trust at the centre.

Mild stimulation IVF is becoming increasingly common as we better understand who benefits most from a gentler approach.

For the right patients, it can reduce the physical and emotional impact of treatment while still supporting egg quality and a well-managed cycle. It’s not about doing less, it’s about doing what’s right for your body.

If you’re exploring IVF and want to understand whether mild stimulation could be an option for you, book a consultation to talk through your individual circumstances and next steps.

Male fertility plays a bigger role than many realise. 💁‍♂️

With better testing, more targeted treatments and a growing focus on lifestyle factors, we’re able to support men in ways we couldn’t before and that support can make a meaningful impact on a couple’s fertility journey.

A new year can bring pressure to feel different, do more or move faster. But fertility care doesn’t follow a calendar and neither does emotional healing.

What matters is that you move in a way that feels supportive and sustainable for you. Small steps, gentle beginnings and honest pauses, they all count.

However this year unfolds, you’re allowed to take it one thoughtful step at a time. ❤️

We’re learning more about how genetics shape each woman’s IVF experience. 🧬

These insights help us understand why responses can vary so widely, even between women with similar test results and may eventually allow for even more personalised care.

Some visits stay with you long after the day ends.

Getting to hold a baby whose parents once sat in my rooms, full of questions and hope, is one of the most special parts of what I do. 💞

This year may not have gone exactly the way you hoped, but you kept showing up for yourself in ways that truly matter. Every appointment you attended, every question you asked, every moment you allowed yourself to rest or regroup, it all counts.

As we close the year, I hope you can recognise the strength and resilience you’ve moved through. You deserve to step into the new year with gentleness and with the knowledge that you are not walking this path alone.

The next couple of years hold exciting progress for fertility care, from more personalised treatment protocols to advances in s***m testing, embryo analysis and implantation science. ⚛

Sharing these updates is my way of helping you stay informed and supported as you plan your next steps.

In light of the new Victorian Government initiative to offer the green whistle (Penthrox) for pain relief during IUD insertions, I wanted to share my experience using it in fertility care. 💚

I’ve been using Penthrox in my practice for women with vaginismus and during fertility procedures, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive -less anxiety, less pain, and more control.

This announcement is a huge win for recognising women’s pain as real and worth managing effectively. It’s time we close the gender pain gap and make compassionate, evidence-based care the norm.

Sometimes the journey to parenthood takes time, and that can be really hard to sit with.

But every story is different, and every step forward matters. My role is to help you understand why things might not be happening, explore what’s next, and remind you that you’re never alone in this.

If you’re walking this path right now, hold onto hope.
We’re in this together. ❤

🌞 Daylight saving starts this weekend!

A friendly reminder that clocks will move forward by one hour at 2 am this Sunday, 5 October 2025 for those in VIC, NSW, SA, TAS and the ACT.

There’s no change for our friends in QLD, NT or WA.

⏰ Most phones and digital devices will update automatically, but remember to adjust any manual clocks before bed on Saturday night.

For Genea Melbourne City patients with appointments on Sunday or early next week, our care team is across the time change and will remind you if your trigger injection needs to be done one hour earlier.

🎧 It’s International Podcast Day!

Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of being a guest on podcasts that open up conversations we don’t always get to have in the clinic. From breaking down PCOS and vaginismus, to tackling the “embarrassing” questions, to reflecting on Mother’s Day and the many emotions it can bring, these conversations matter.

Podcasts give us the space to dive deeper, share knowledge and connect in a more personal way. ❤

👉 You can find all of the episodes I’ve been part of in my Podcasts highlight reel.
