Australian research has demonstrated that older adults (over 60) would like to talk about s*xual health to their GP, but wait for them to bring it up. While another study asking GP’s if they ask their older patients about their s*xual health, they said they are patient led! 🤦🏻‍♀️ I guess no one is talking about it then!
Older adults often feel embarrassed, not enough time in consult or don’t think their s*xual health issue is important enough to bring up.
Check out these conversation starters to get the convo going about your s*xual health concerns…

You might of noticed a little name change (or maybe not!) to using instead of naturopath. Why the change?
Because I have grown
My services have multiplied and even though naturopathy is still the vast majority of the services I offer, I also have hypnotherapy, counselling, yoga, and s*xology weaved into my practice.
My 3 pillars to wellbeing have not changed. I still firmly believe that are key to wellness. And it just so happens that all my services cover all 3 pillars! How about that?
Wellbeing means different for everyone. I recently did a survey and people’s s*xual wellbeing was a low priority. I totally get this. Most of us focus on our mental and physical wellbeing as this might impact our daily lives more. Whereas, s*xual wellbeing might only pop up from time to time.
But when does s*xual wellbeing shift?
Maybe when you are experiencing a recurrent UTI or thrush.
Maybe when you experience pain during pe*******on
Maybe your libido is low and your partner is ready to go all.the.time
Maybe your are questioning your s*xual orientation and it’s impacting your day to day life and relationship
Or maybe you don’t think it’s important enough to give it attention it needs and the problem is pushed to the side..
So wellbeing seemed a suitable word that encompasses our whole person.
Let me know what you think!

Mindfulness in May begins this Thursday and to celebrate, join me online to participate in a shared mindful movement session.
Have you ever experienced full autonomy in a yoga class where you are able to explore each shape with stillness and curiosity?
Mindful Movement uses the foundations of Trauma Sensitive Yoga to allow agency and embodiment.
Unfortunately the things that serve us in a positive a way are usually the first to go when our lives are full and stress begins to creep in.
For 60 minutes, every Tuesday from 8:30-9:30am (AWST), join me online (beginning Tuesday May 6th). You can join me for one session or all four!
If you would like a demo sent to you, send me a dm and I will share a free 60 minute session.
If you can’t make the time, you will receive a recording so you can enjoy in your own time.
To reserve your spot, head to the link in my bio.

It has been too long since I offered a yoga sesh with the public. I have really being feeling the void recently and want to offer something to my community that connects us with each other by sharing a practice of slow, mindful movement.
My plan is to offer this class, online, for free. Then perhaps offering a more regular practice in the near future (Term 2).
The practice will be facilitated using the core elements of trauma sensitive yoga (TCTSY) and no previous yoga experience is needed. If you have a body, want to give yourself an hour to slow down and to be given the choice to connect with yourself and others, this is for you!
Click on my bio to register and if you can’t make the LIVE, it will be recorded.
Ohhh this feels so good!
Send me a DM if you have any questions, otherwise, hope to see you online next Monday!

It can be difficult to pin point what is really going on when there could be MANY possibilities!
Perimenopause, hypothyroidism, and depression have many similarities in symptoms. Many women I have spoken to have often raised their concern that they are unsure if they need to take a visit to their GP. It’s interesting how women can dismiss their symptoms and just ‘get on with it!’ But, if you have sub clinical hypothyroidism and it’s caught early, the chances are higher to rectify your symptoms.

The thing is you don’t need to feel that you should put up with unwanted symptoms that impact your daily life. Seeking support for your mental and physical wellbeing is important.

If you feel you have a lot going on and not sure where to start, reach out, send me a DM, and we can see if I would be a good fit for you.

You gotta admit it, HRT did need a revamp after the 2001 studies released by WHI that made everyone drop their hormone replacement therapy like a hot potato.
Then walks in MHT, just like the movie ‘She’s all That’ where she walks down the stairs after her BIG makeover. But really, didn’t she just take off her glasses?
Now we are just at this awkward stage where we feel the need to say both names HRT/MHT just so we can make sure everyone is on the same page.
What are your thoughts about MHT and its makeover?

Hot flashes is not the only thing that can happen during the menopause transition. Vaginal dryness occurs because the vaginal skin begins to thin due to lowering oestrogen levels. This can cause dryness, irritation, and tearing can also happen. While hot flashes can disappear at post menopause, vaginal dryness can increase with age.
Vaginal pe*******on becomes uncomfortable and according to the Australian Menopause Society, 85% of women report ‘some loss of intimacy’.
Vaginal dryness is one of the symptoms of . Kinda of a long name isn’t it? It this umbrella term that includes urinary tract infections, bladder health, joint pain, and vaginal atrophy (thinning vaginal wall lining).
Good news? It doesn’t have to be this way!
I can help you discover alternative natural remedies to support your vaginal health. Or point you in the direction of other medical remedies.
Explore other options than ‘penetrative s3x’
Support your mental health with counselling
Send me a DM if you would like to know more!

As much as we would like to see the positives in people, beige and red flags are called that for a reason. It can be difficult to point out unhealthy relationships when we are in them. Trust your gut!!

Hello & Welcome!

Thanks for stopping by!

My name is Sarah and as the business name suggests, I am a naturopath and yoga teacher. My passion as a naturopath has very much involved in improving gut health through nutrition and herbal medicine.

As my experience has grown. I have found that many of the people that visit me for support, need their nervous system to feel nourished and their mind to feel calm.

Many of you may have heard of the Brain-Gut connection. How our brain can impact our gut and vice versa. I have found this subject to hit home with me, and now after completing my yoga teacher training in 2018, I can finally incorporate my two loves of yoga and naturopathy to support not only your gut microbiome, but your mind through movement and nutritional support.
