🍇Grape Agate, also known as Botryoidal Purple Chalcedony, is a rare and visually striking crystal composed of tiny, naturally spherical formations of purple chalcedony that cluster together, resembling bunches of grapes.
It was first discovered in the Mamuju area of Sulawesi, Indonesia, in the mid-2010s, and this region remains its primary source.
While it is occasionally mistaken for Amethyst due to its colour, its distinct botryoidal (grape-like) formation sets it apart. Grape Agate forms in volcanic rock cavities, where layers of silica-rich solutions gradually precipitate and crystallise into its unique globular structure. Metaphysically, Grape Agate is deeply connected with the Third Eye and Crown Chakras, supporting spiritual development, inner vision and dreamwork.
It is often used to enhance intuition, psychic awareness and calm the mind, making it ideal for meditation and energetic alignment.
