Emma- whilst not studying madly to finish her Sports Masters, is the physiotherapist for the Western Force Academy & Assistant for the Super W team 🏉

Dan (Titled Sports & Exercise) is currently the underage Academy Physiotherapist in the WACA male program 🏏

Shannon (Titled Sports & Exercise) is the Head Physiotherapist for the Perth Inferno in the Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League- who just won the title over last weekend! 🏒

Katie (Titled Sports & Exercise) since hanging up the boots at Fremantle in the AFLW is currently tutoring at Curtin in the undergraduate physiotherapy degree & this weekend taught the APA level 1 Dry Needling Course 📚

Currently completing her Pilates qualification, Hannah’s all about helping athletes build core strength, improve mobility, and boost coordination for sport! ⚡️🏃🏉

Weekend antics - Katie and Hannah working with the Fremantle AFLW 💜🏉

Katie’s stepped in while Brett moves into a new role and is back doing what she loves — looking after the Freo AFLW girls as team physio! She’s been busy keeping the team fit, firing and ready to go as they hit the back end of the season and push towards finals. 💪

Hannah’s also been jumping in to help out as a trainer for a few games alongside Katie — awesome effort from both of them! 👏

Here’s hoping for another finals berth for the mighty Fremantle Dockers! 💜⚓

And a shoutout to Shannon, who was in Adelaide helping out the non-playing Freo AFLW girls during their scrimmage match. 🙌

With a background in dance and high-performance sport, Shannon brings precision, empathy, and a holistic approach to injury management & rehab. She’s passionate about helping athletes of all levels achieve their goals — making recovery effective and enjoyable. 💪

🏉EVP Physios around the Grounds🏉
Dan and Hannah are fast becoming the AFL's best sports training duo. Here they are at the recent game against Freo working for the Sydney Swans. Both tipped Freo to win though 🤭 Dan especially is getting up quite a collection of AFL polos. Good job guys!

A huge thanks to for coming down to the clinic last week to upskill our physios in the Forcedecks. Some really handy tips and tricks for us to get the most out of our performance and injury testing. Thanks for being our demo patient Eli, you showed great form even if Brett smashed the plyometric push up.

Return to play testing is an extremely important part of the decision making process in regards to an athlete getting back out there. One such test is the ASH test which involves testing shoulder strength in three different positions. Karri is using a handheld dynamometer which gives specific data then and there about Connors strength scores. We use return to play testing for all of our patients who are keen to return to specific physical activity as this helps assess the risk of re-injury and gives us some extra ideas for prevention as well.

Well it was an action packed Sunday for two of our East Vic Park Physiotherapists. In the blue and red corner, standing at 8ft we had Dan who was supporting Melbourne as one of their on field trainers. And in the purple and white corner, standing at 4ft, we had Hannah continuing with her role as Fremantle's on field trainer. As was the case with the famous David and Goliath battle, Hannah and her team came out on top in a high scoring game. Great job to both of them for providing excellent support to their respective teams.
