We’re proud to offer access to advanced laser technology at Clinical Laser Therapy Australia, including these two M-Hi MLS laser systems. 🙌

Having access to a range of advanced laser devices allows our clinicians, including Dr Matt McLindon, to deliver clinically guided PBMT efficiently and safely. This investment in technology supports improved access to modern, non-invasive laser therapy for patients in regional areas such as Bendigo, Echuca and Moama.

Meet the Team: Dr Matt McLindon 👋

With over two decades of experience in regional healthcare, Dr Matt McLindon is passionate about improving access to modern, evidence-based care closer to home. After recognising a gap in access to laser therapy in regional areas, he established Clinical Laser Therapy Australia to bring advanced photobiomodulation therapy to communities in Moama, Bendigo and Echuca.

When he’s not in the clinic, Dr Matt can usually be found spending time with family or involved in the local theatre scene. 💙

One of our clinicians, Dr Matt McLindon delivering targeted photobiomodulation therapy behind the knee as part of a personalised treatment plan. PBMT uses specific wavelengths of light to support the body’s natural healing processes and is commonly used in the management of sports injuries and recovery, including soft tissue strain, ligament irritation, and overuse-related conditions.

It may also be used as part of care plans for other musculoskeletal presentations such as joint dysfunction, tendon conditions, and post-injury rehabilitation. Treatment is non-invasive and delivered following clinical assessment, with parameters tailored to the individual.

No two patients are the same, and neither is their care. 💙

We take the time to understand your goals, recognising that each individual requires an approach shaped around the person, not just the condition. 🙌

Who is PBMT suitable for?

Photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) may be considered for a range of musculoskeletal and inflammatory conditions. It is often explored by people who have not achieved the desired response with other conservative approaches.

PBMT may be suitable for:

- Acute or persistent musculoskeletal pain or injury
- Tendon, joint, and soft tissue conditions
- Chronic pain presentations
- Certain inflammatory conditions
- Individuals seeking a non-invasive treatment option

Suitability varies and depends on individual assessment, medical history, and clinical presentation. If you’re wondering whether PBMT may be appropriate for you, get in touch with our team at Clinical Laser Therapy Australia for a consultation. 💭

January is a great time to reset routines, refocus on your health, and think ahead to the months to come. Whether you’re returning after the holiday break or considering your options for the year ahead, now is a good opportunity to review your care. 💆‍♂️

If you’re considering photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT), also known as low level laser therapy, a consultation can help determine whether it may be appropriate for your individual needs and goals.

We’re looking forward to supporting our patients throughout 2026 with considered, individualised care. 🙌

Matt recently attended the AMPA Annual Conference and AGM. It was a pleasure to be there, connect with so many respected colleagues and take away valuable ideas to bring back to CLTA.

Speakers included:
Dr Emily Teo - Medical acupuncturist and laser practitioner
Dr Ann Liebert - Physiotherapist and Director of Photomolecular Research at the Australian Research Institute at the Sydney Adventist Hospital Group and Visiting Fellow at the Bosch Institute at Sydney University
Professor Hosen Kiat - Cardiologist and Director of Cardiac Imaging Research at the UCLA School of Medicine, who presented on sports concussion, post-traumatic headaches and photobiomodulation.
Marianne Degerman - Swedish physiotherapist, who shared insights on emerging photobiomodulation approaches for diabetic and arterial ulcers.

The conference was a great event that continues to support ongoing learning and collaboration within the photobiomodulation community.

How does PBMT work? 🤔

Light energy (photons) is absorbed by cell membranes, triggering your body’s own repair mechanisms. This helps reduce pain, improve circulation, and speed up recovery, from muscle tears to joint dysfunction.
