The federal government is planning the biggest budget cut to pharmacy ever. As a health service provider, we rarely speak on political issues. But the storm that is about to hit our profession is going to negatively impact patients, existing staff and the viability of our services to the community in such a profound way that we have no other choice than to speak up before the damage is done.

Please spare a few minutes to view how the the government's proposed 60 day dispensing policy will affect you and your ability to access your essential medications. This policy is a budget cut to your healthcare. It is a budget cut to the services pharmacists can provide to our community. It is a budget cut to local employment. It is a budget cut to medication management and public safety. Please help us raise awareness as together we are stronger!

Do you have unwanted medications at home?

Did you know disposing of medication in sinks, toilets and garbage bins can cause environmental damage? However, keeping expired or unneeded medication in your cupboards may increase the risk of an accidental mix up or overdose. To help in managing this potential problem, here at Edenhope Pharmacy we can dispose of your unwanted medications for you.

If you have expired medications, or medications you no longer need, bring it in store. Our staff can assist to dispose of it in a safe and confidential manner.
