Fat is an essential part of our diet and is important for good health. There are different types of fats, some healthier than others. To help make sure you stay healthy, it is important to eat unsaturated fats in small amounts as part of a balanced diet.
When eaten in large amounts, all fats, including healthy fats, can contribute to weight gain. Fat is higher in energy (kilojoules) than any other nutrient and so eating less fat overall is likely to help with weight loss. It does not mean that all fats should be avoided to promote weight loss. This recipe is for both gluten free and non gluten free people. It can be changed to suit you by changing just one ingredient!
Ingredients:
Mix these spices to your particular flavour palette! We just eye ball the mixes!
Sweet paprika
Garlic powder
Salt
Almond meal (if you are not looking for a gf option u can just use bread crumbs)
2 eggs
1 kg of chicken thigh fillet cut into bite sizes
Method:
1. Mix dry ingredients together in a bowl
2. Beat 2 eggs in another bowl
3. Place cut up chicken in egg first then dip in dry ingredients
4. Place chicken bites into a light oiled tray
5. Cook for 35-40 mins, flipping the chicken half way through (our oven takes this long some ovens are different. So cook till the chicken is golden brown and crispy!)
6. Enjoy!
