Eve, Ritika, and I created this teacher training because we were tired of yoga containers that felt disconnected - from the body, from community, from real life.

Supported by headspace Midland and the City of Swan, Our Place is a peer-led project dedicated to supporting, connecting, and empowering LGBTQIA+ young people.

One of Our Place’s projects is Rainbow Reads, a book club that meets on the third Thursday of the month at Midland library. This month they will be hosting online the author of the graphic novel Stars in Their Eyes.

While it's disappointing that City of Swan has to turn comments off on this post because bigotry is still rife in our community... that gives us even MORE of a reason to share the first Pride Swan Festival at Carnegie Triangle, in Midland. (You can find Carnegie Triangle at the back of the Vital Beat studio! Just head around to our Helena Street entrance)

As a queer-owned space, with 40% of our staff identifying as part of the LGBTIQA+ community, we will always champion efforts to improve inclusion & advocacy work in our little corner of WA.
