We’re excited to announce our next big day trip! 🐪

On Saturday 9th May, the Counselling& team will be heading to Gorge Wildlife Park for a fun and relaxed day out ✨

This supported group outing is all about getting out of the house, spending time in nature, and enjoying a day out together. Whether you want to see some amazing animals, feed the kangaroos, or just take it easy and walk around, it’s a great chance to unwind and have fun.

The details:
✅ Entry fee covered
📅 When: Saturday 9th May 11am – 3pm
🚗 Transport available (pick-up and drop-off can be arranged)
💰 NDIS funded

The adventure continues this Saturday (April 18th) at our next Dungeons & Dragons session! 🐉🎲

Join us at Park Holme Library as we pick up the campaign and dive back into the story.

New players are always welcome, and no experience is needed ✨ It’s a supportive, low-pressure group where you can meet people, be creative, and enjoy the game — with our staff there to guide you every step of the way.

This Saturday the 11th April (11am - 3pm) Counselling& will be running our next board games afternoon 🎲

As usual the event will take place in a private room located at Park Holme Library. Our friendly and experienced staff will host the event and support participants throughout 😊

Counselling& will offer a wide variety of board games; however, participants are also encouraged to bring their favourite games. A sausage sizzle will be provided for lunch. Additionally, transport to and from the event can be provided. Participation is NDIS funded.

✈️ New Group Starting: Travel Club

Want to travel but not sure where to start? Travel Club is here to help!

Travel Club is a capacity-building group that will help participants build independence, confidence, and practical travel skills in a fun and social environment.

Details:
📅 Commencing: Thursday 26 March
🕙 Time: 10:00am – 12:00pm (once per month on a Thursday)
📍 Location: La Crema Reserve Roastery (private room)

If you cannot attend this time, please do not be discouraged - we can find a suitable alternative.

Participants will learn skills such as budgeting for travel, planning trips, booking flights, navigating airports, packing, and preparing for long-haul flights.

Japan focus: Japan will be used as the main example in activities, and we’re exploring the possibility of an optional supported group activity to Japan in May 2027 (subject to approvals and funding).

Looks like word got out that we are launching a brand new Dungeons & Dragons table!.

Our original group is nearing capacity, and we want to keep our table sizes small to ensure the best experience for everyone.

So, rather than squeezing more people in, we are launching a Second Table.

The newly formed campaign kicks off next month.

It is now open to all ages and experience levels.

When: Saturday, March 14th 11am - 3pm

Where: Park Holme Library (Meeting Room 2)

Beginner-friendly and staff-facilitated. You don't need to bring armor or know the rules, we teach you as we play.

We are locking in our first major day trip of the year.

On Saturday, March 28th, the Counselling& team is heading to Urimbirra for the day.

This is a supported group outing designed to get you out of the suburbs and into nature. Whether you want to face your fears and hold a snake, pat a koala, or just walk the trails, it’s going to be a great day out.

What is included:
✅ Entry Fees: Covered.
✅ Lunch: Sandwich platters provided.
✅ Transport: We can arrange pick-up and drop-off.
✅ Support: Our team will be there to support you to explore at your own pace.

Funding: NDIS (Social & Community Participation)

We are locking in the date for the next Board Games Afternoon.

If you have been thinking about coming along but haven't made it yet, this is the perfect one to start with.

It is a low-pressure environment. We bring a massive stack of games, handle the rules, and make sure everyone has someone to play with.
