Concerns about cervical (neck) manipulations.

Woman suffers catastrophic injuries after chiropractor visit- July3rd 2022.

A woman is fighting for her life after a chiropractic adjustment went horribly wrong, leaving her with catastrophic injuries including dissected neck arteries, a stroke and brain injury. Studies have found that traumatic cervical artery dissection is one of the leading causes of stroke in patients under the age of 45, and recent chiropractic neck manipulation is among factors that can be associated with risk of vertebral artery dissection.

We are excited to announce that Ms Candida Vassallo will be consulting on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at Primecare Physiotherapy.

Candida is a multi modality therapist who is very passionate about life, living, health, wellbeing of body, mind & spirit and the knowing that in order to do better, we need to feel better. She believes that disease and ill health are due to imbalances within our body, mind and spirit and that our natural state is to be in balance and excellent health – to that end, the restoration of balance, she directs a great deal of her energy and focus.

She works holistically, treating all aspects of the person to achieve and restore balance. She does this in various ways, with the many different therapies and teachings, depending on client requirement, as she understands we are all unique and we can be
drawn to different ways of achieving the desired outcome.
So she offers combinations of treatments during a session, depending on client needs and these can comprise several of the following - Massage, Acupressure, Reiki, Lymphatic
Drainage, Bowen Therapy, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique or Tapping), Hypnotherapy, Theta Healing and Spiritual Life Coaching.
