Hormones & Hair!! Hair & hormones!! Here to help in any ways I can 😘

Excited to announce I'll be starting a Hormones & Hair series I guess U could call it. With my first post hitting ur news feeds in the very near future.

Those whom have sat in my chair know how open I am about asking what could be very personal & uncomfortable conversations regarding what stages of ur cycles U are at esp if there's things happening with a chemical service or I feel a texture change in a clients hair & all the ins n outs right from being pregnant, new born hair & know all the stages of hormonal hair growth & all the things that being on contraception & having hormone imbalances can do.

And for myself personally it's crazy what I go through (having my most crazy symptom of electric shocks and static hair in certain times of my cycle) and what I've had to except with what happens to my hair during this zone of chaos & it was a texture change that was one of the biggest first signs that my perimenopause train had welcomed my body even though I didn't click back then it should've with my experience & Knowledge & being super intrigued by all the ins n outs of hair health & science behind it.

Cant wait to share with U all!!

Even the smallest bit of food prep makes a huge difference in my week. And the biggest thing I'm proud of over these past few years is my change with all my relationship with food and made being prepared & food prep part of my natural everyday living don't even think to much into just do it!!

What we put in our bodies esp us woman on the Perimenopause Train is super super important having a good breaky is a must, good quality supplements, good whole foods, not skipping meals and not eating suger, processed foods or any crap has a huge relief on symptoms. Why I'm super strict on what I put in my body these days.

Cutting suger & caffeine has been the biggest game changer for and eliminated hot flushes or just feeling crap n irritated & reduced hestimine issues they were real bad.

FOOD IS FUEL!!

Here's my breakfast oats for the NXT 3 days. Always have liter water bottles ready to take with me literally everywhere I go to keep my yeti refilled & body hydrated.

In the little tubs have my daily supplements I take with breakfast and lunch moderes ova m & d3. And 3 have protein powder & creatine for easy ready to go after excersise or if I need a lil extra iny belly at work.

Having food prepared is the biggest stress relief and avoids temptation of eating s**t or skipping meals.

Perimenopause supplement this has been a game changer for me & so many!!

Even after a few days back with ova m in me I'm feeling a massive difference in how calm my body is in from it, had a few amazing nights sleep which on this day these pics where taken I was in a world of pain and lasting on very little sleep.

I've never found a brand that every single product blows me away.

Warning taking about death in this post.

How beautiful is this back drop I took last night I love my daily walks it's so much more than just your physical movement it's a time to unwind, escape the realities that our busy life's brings.

Lots of thoughts while walking last night even though I do try to embrace switching off I wanted to jump in here today to talk about dealth let's embrace it.

A subject so many find so hard to talk about. I'm very open and while loosing loved ones is extremely hard like my nan used to say it's not goodbyes it's see you later! I'll see them one day I truly believe that.

It's the 5 year anniversary of my mum passing tomorrow & as crazy as this sounds that wasn't the hardest part of that year it was what came after it all that kinda takes you away from fully being able to process loosing a parent.

I want to really get the message out there about talking to ur most close loved ones about your wishes and please please please get a will done let them know what and where all your passwords are what accounts are what all the ins and outs of what U want.

We were planning to do the stern hard talks with mum while she was in hospital me & my sister were planing to go see her on the Saturday to get as much as we could in all her health things as she hadn't been well a while even spent days in hospital before telling us the Sept before her passing the following Feb. We changed her first contact when we forced her to emergency. We knew what I mum wouldn't want done and had to make those decisions for her in ICU and her partner wasn't wanting what we knew was in mums best wishes.

Lets just say those close to us know what we went through but it was super messy and a extremely rough few years for my sister especially. It was so hard to watch or not be able to help in the ways she had to take the lead.

So all in all this post is gonna be one of many to say in life comes dealth & not only should we be talking about it.

We need to make sure if anything happens to us have your affairs in order get a will written up & please be open to those conversations with your children and loved ones most close to you. Don't wait till your old or to sick to discuss or plan things. It can be super hard to talk about but imagine how much harder it is for them when your not here.

Disapline & Consistency is your big key!!

If there's any advice I can give which so many set out on weight loss journeys. Flick the mind set to weight loss being your by product of dropping bad unhealthy habits to good live long & strong habits & weight loss is the by product of hard work in that makes the journey so much more easier to go through and keep at.

Main priorities need to be nutritional wholefoods, fuel for your body. Good night's sleep to let your body recharge. Rest is so much more important than play!! At least 2 liters of water to keep well hydrated & walking!!

Added bonus is Good quality food & supplements. Will share what are my daily non-negotiables in a future post.

I lost the bulk of my weight with only physical movement being daily walking 2km,20/30mins.

Added strength training when id hit what is my heights healthy weight. Start small get your forms in check first before heavy weights & build to big and you will get the body sculpting you never knew you could have & be proud of what U have built!! Highly recommend reformer Pilates even for beginners.

But just walking is all you need to keep Ur body moving life long and all the physical movement I did to drop the bulk of my weight.

I've been able to maintain give or take few kilo here and there but almost 6months around the same number on the scale this is where measurements out way what the scales say.

Try not to be super focused on numbers or needing to drop kilos every week the faster U drop the less likely you are to keep it off long term.

Best advice my coach gave me & still stands with it is Go with the Flow!!

Yes it can be scary to take the plunge & surrender to life style changes but I've seen and see way to many people die from or struggle through sickness that can be caused through unhealthy lifestyles.

Let's be the change & give the grannies & grandpa years in us the best most independent strong healthy easy moving possiblies we can!!

We are only given one body and can only control so much in life so if it's one thing U take control of please let it be Ur health & wellbeing in every way U can!!

Best self care and self love you can give yourself!
