💉 FluMist® Now Available – Needle-Free Flu Protection

We’re pleased to offer FluMist®, a needle-free flu vaccine delivered as a gentle nasal spray.

FluMist® may be a suitable option for:
✔ Children and adolescents who prefer to avoid needles
✔ Younger patients looking for a quick and comfortable vaccination experience

How does it work?
A fine mist is sprayed into the nostrils, where it helps your body build immunity against influenza—no injection required. You can watch a video from Western Australia in the link below.

Who is it for?
FluMist® is generally recommended for eligible patients aged 2 to 17 years (inclusive). Suitability depends on your individual health circumstances.

Furthermore, FluMist® is covered for children aged 2 to 5 years (inclusive) in Queensland as part of the 2026 Free Flu Vaccination Program, running until September 30.

Why get vaccinated?
1. Influenza can be serious, especially for young children and vulnerable individuals. Annual vaccination remains the best way to reduce your risk
2. Protect those around you, as children can be "super-spreaders" of influenza
3.FluMist® may provide a longer immune response.

📅 Appointments are now available
📞 Contact our team or book online to check your eligibility and secure your spot.

🏥 GP, Urgent Care Clinic or Emergency Department - Where Should You Go? 🚑

Knowing where to seek care can save you time and ensure you get the right treatment when you need it most.

👩‍⚕️ Visit your GP for:
✔️ Cold, flu, or mild infections
✔️ Ongoing health conditions (e.g. diabetes, asthma)
✔️ Prescriptions and medication reviews
✔️ Minor injuries (sprains, small cuts)
✔️ Preventive care (check-ups, screenings, vaccines)

🏥 Visit an Urgent Care Clinic for:
✔️ Minor fractures or severe sprains
✔️ Cuts that may need multiple stitches
✔️ Fever or illness that needs urgent attention
✔️ When you need care after-hours but it’s not life-threatening

🚨 Go to the Emergency Department or call 000 for:
❗ Chest pain or difficulty breathing
❗ Signs of stroke (sudden weakness, trouble speaking)
❗ Severe bleeding or major injuries
❗ Loss of consciousness
❗ Severe allergic reactions

⏰ Not sure? If your condition feels serious or is getting worse quickly, don’t wait - seek urgent medical care.

💬 Choosing the right care helps reduce wait times every where and ensures emergency services are available for those who need them most.

📞 Our team is here to guide you - call us if you’re unsure where to go.

📞 GP FAQ: Can I have a Telehealth Consultation?
We often receive this question at reception, so here’s a quick guide to Telehealth appointments at your GP clinic.

👩‍⚕️ What is a Telehealth consultation?
A Telehealth consultation allows you to speak with your GP over the phone or via video without needing to visit the clinic in person.

✅ Telehealth may be suitable for:
• Simple medical advice
• Follow-up appointments
• Discussing test results
• Prescription repeats
• Managing chronic conditions

🏥 When you may need to come into the clinic instead:
• Physical examinations are required
• New or complex medical issues
• Procedures or vaccinations
• Situations where your GP needs to assess you in person

📅 Availability
Telehealth appointments are available for eligible patients and appropriate medical concerns, and your GP will advise if an in-person visit is more suitable.

📲 How to book
Call our reception team or book online.

Your health and convenience matter to us — Telehealth is another way we can support you when visiting the clinic isn't possible.
