The Alexandra Football /Netball Club held a special opening ceremony of their new club rooms recently.
Long term Alexandra resident Kathleen Chanter was delighted to attend the ceremony, and enjoyed a good old fashioned hot dog, as served back in the footy days.
Kath stated she has been a life member of the club since 1973, and there has been Chanters at the club since 1905. Kath’s husband’s family were part of the original club, and the tradition continues with a brand new generation just started.
Kath is currently the oldest living life member of the Alexandra Football Club

Coffee anyone?
We can now all enjoy a freshly ground coffee bean delight,
right here at Darlingford.

Our brand new Coffee Machine is located in the East Kitchenette for easy access for Staff, Residents and to our Visitors. We encourage everyone to use it.
A variety of drinks are available including hot chocolate at a cost of just $2 per cup

A big thank you to the following people for donations towards this new service:
• Lorraine Peters in memory of her Mum Joyce Peters
• Iris and staff who produced, bought and sold the wonderful recipe books to raise funds
• The Bensz and Petersen families
• The Darlingford Board of Management in acknowledgement of the dedicated staff – particularly during such a tough year
