Thank you to this family for providing such moving and meaningful feedback after the loss of their mum. 💕
"On behalf of our entire family, I would like to extend our deepest gratitude for the exceptional care, professionalism and warmth you provided during what has been one of the most challenging times of our lives. From the very first moment we called to arrange for Mum to be picked up, we felt supported. The courtesy call letting us know you were on your way was a small gesture that meant the world to us, providing a sense of peace and preparation. We were particularly moved by the way you prioritised Mum’s dignity at every turn, your guidance on how to navigate those first difficult moments was incredibly appreciated.
In a time when we felt overwhelmed and unable to navigate the path ahead, your team stepped in and carried us through every step of the journey. We were consistently impressed by every timeline and "next step" you provided was met with perfect efficiency, allowing us to hold faith in the process without any added stress. No request was too small or too large. Your team navigated our needs with grace, ensuring we could be with Mum throughout her entire journey from start to finish. A special and heartfelt thank you must be given to the morticians. Mum looked absolutely beautiful—exactly as she would have wanted. Seeing her presented with such perfection and care brought us immense comfort.
Knowing that Mum was in such capable and kind hands from the moment she left our home until she was returned fills us with happiness and peace. We will always remember the service you provided not just as a professional service, but as a genuine act of care for our family.
Thank you again for everything you have done for us."

Issue 17 of our puzzle book is now available!

What started as a simple idea has grown into something we know many people genuinely look forward to — a quiet moment with a cuppa ☕, a pencil ✏️, and a page or two of puzzles to gently pass the time.

The puzzle book s free as always and available from our chapel (579 Main North Road Elizabeth North) —drop in and collect a copy, or pick one up for a friend, neighbour, or family member who might enjoy it.

Thank you for continuing to embrace this little tradition with us. We hope Issue 17 brings you enjoyment, gentle focus, and a few well-earned “aha!” moments.

Happy puzzling 🧩🤍

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and CFS colleagues.
May his service, sacrifice, and legacy always be remembered.

Lest we Forget.

At the eleventh hour, on the eleventh day, of the eleventh month,

and those who never returned home.

💜 Infant & Pregnancy Loss Remembrance Day – October 15th 💜

Our hearts are with all parents, families, and friends who have walked this difficult path. May you find comfort in knowing you are not alone. We remember the little lives gone too soon, and acknowledge the deep love and grief carried by families who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss.

At 7pm this evening, many will join the global Wave of Light by lighting a candle in memory of precious babies who are forever loved and never forgotten. Together, these lights create a chain of love and remembrance around the world.

Forever loved, forever remembered. ✨🕯️

In 1985, Smithfield & Elizabeth Funerals first opened its doors, being the first Funeral Home to be available to local families in Elizabeth. Bringing compassionate care to families across the northern suburbs.

From the very beginning, our focus was simple — to offer professional, personal, and dignified service to every family, close to home.

Forty years later, we remain proud to continue that same commitment to care, supporting generations of families with respect and understanding.
