Recently I was asked to facilitate a private function down on Mornington Peninsula - I live these requests!

Such a different vibe outside of ngo/professional settings and getting to know the endearing and beautifully personal dynamics of a social group is a gift.

You can literally feel the shift in energy in these casual settings and I leave just as refreshed as the participants xx ❤️🌺(also, there’s wine! 🤣)

Playing with textures, squishing smooth into crumbly, pushing shapes and using our motor and observational skills to create !!!
Using textures with art therapy can feel so good, clients will usually say how “satisfying” it feels, and thats just it, it’s like it helps us feel complete, like scratching an itch, releasing that sensory need into something squishy in a safe warm place - ahhhh what a relief!!!

Every now and then, in between clients, workshops buisness/juggling I do my own art therapy. And, let, me, tell, you it is gloriouuusssss.
Moving my hands rhythmically through paint, feeling every texture, pressure, using bilateral movement and shapes aligned with healing, is evidenced based, reminds why I do this, and not only strengthens my belief ❤️ but my welbeing aswell.

Mask making is deeply powerful, as it can touch into the masks we show the outside world and what is really happening on the inside. Using smooth wet plaster adds a deep sensory experience of being in our bodies ❤️

The Souls of our Feet Meditation and art therapy practice has had a lot of studies carried out to show how it can reduce anger for young people/everyone..
Well here is my experience.., You know when you are just having one of those tough weeks and everything is haaarrdd…
After meditating on placing anger in my feet, and visualising those feet in my favourite calm environment… I feel a totally different (calmer!) person.., feel free to reach out for this wonderful exercise

Every now and then I treat myself to being a participant instead of a facilitator, and absolutely relish in playing in a supportive and fun group environment in which I have zero responsibility to guide ❤️ this time was quite random and burnt a cowgirl/boy/person hat as a bday present to myself!! Thank you it was a blast!! The extra cowboy/girl/person music was a plus

Oh golly gosh do we have an awesomely fun session for the lucky ones headed to The Facilitation One Day Wonder 2025 extravaganza tomorrow!!

My “Mapping you extraordinary facilitation journey “ session tomorrow is a playful and creative way to clarify our wants and explore how to get there whilst relaxing to tunes and in connection with community.
