Wow, what a year! Four complete years as a business owner and three years working full-time as a paramedic, all whilst trying to be a mum to my two beautiful children.

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you who has supported my little company, attended my training, left a review, referred a friend, showed patience with me whilst I juggled a busy schedule, and, most importantly, returned the following year for your training. It means more to me than you will ever know. You are all a part of the Prestige Training family and I can't wait for you to come along with me as we make the company bigger and better in years to come.

Finch Lane Collective is taking shape — a quiet, rural space for counselling and equine-assisted therapy grounded in connection, safety, and respect.

This will be a place to slow down, breathe, and reconnect — with yourself, with the land, and alongside horses through gentle, ground-based (non-ridden) sessions. Work here is trauma-informed, ethically delivered, and guided by care for both people and animals.

We’re preparing the space and will share more as we get closer to opening.

After being away for a week. I can say I am back in Queensland. My mum is on the mend finally. She is slowly getting better day by day. As she said, 'how many people get to leave the cardiac ward with their own paramedic?' 😂. I am glad to be back to the warmth and sunshine. I can now add another state of Australia I've been to, or as I kept stirring my mum, another country 😝. I mean I can't say I saw much of it, but it still counts right? I stood foot there.

Just a quick note to let you know I’ve had to leave town unexpectedly due to a family emergency. I’m currently out of state, but still doing my best to stay on top of things remotely.

Have you have ever thought about being a paramedic? I highly recommend it. You are never too old to start. I started studying at 34 and started working as a paramedic fulltime at 37. It really is the best job.
