Congratulations to Shi-Ann Wallace, a proud JCU: James Cook University, Australia Pharmacy student and this year’s deserving award recipient!

This award recognises a current IAHA Full Member (Student) enrolled in an allied health degree who demonstrates exceptional leadership, dedication to their studies, and a strong commitment to personal and professional growth. Awardees are inspiring role models for both the current and future allied health workforce — and Shi-ann embodies all of this and more.

We’re especially proud to share that Shi-Ann completed one of her pharmacy placements in Emerald in 2024, where she made a wonderful impression on both staff and community.

🔶Our team had the privilege of attending the National Conference, a gathering that celebrates the rich diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the strength of the allied health workforce.

The conference highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and the power of holistic, strengths-based approaches in advancing health and wellbeing. IAHA’s ongoing leadership continues to drive efforts toward achieving health equality for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

A valuable and inspiring experience for our team. 🌿✨

✳ Our Director, Professor Sabina Knight, had the pleasure of attending Clermont State High School Awards today. It was a privilege to represent JCU: James Cook University, Australia and present the Year 10 JCU Academic Encouragement Award to two outstanding students, Elspeth Wardsley and Edward Hicks.

This award recognises students who demonstrate strong academic effort, commitment to learning, and a positive approach to their studies. Elspeth and Edward have shown admirable dedication throughout the year, and we are proud to celebrate their achievements.

We extend our sincere congratulations to both recipients and acknowledge the continued support of the Clermont State High School staff, families, and community in encouraging students to strive for excellence.👏👏
