📣 School Holiday Availability 📣

We have a limited number of appointments available during the June-July school holidays.

School holiday sessions run over two weeks, and are best suited to:

✨️ Families who need assessments and/or reports completed.
✨️ Families who would like to consult with a speech pathologist to discuss their questions and concerns.
✨️Families wishing to learn how to support their child's communication development at home.
✨️ New or existing clients who want to engage in a short therapy block (3 - 6 sessions)

Unfortunately, we don't have any availability for ongoing therapy sessions at the moment and won't be accepting referrals or waitlisting ongoing clients right now.

It's Speech Pathology Week! Over the next seven days join us as we celebrate the wonderful speech pathologists who work with the more than 1.2 million Australians with communication and swallowing support needs.

Using Alternative / Augmentative Communication (AAC) devices isn't about "replacing" speech. Many people use AAC as one of the communication strategies in their toolbelt, alongside speech, signing and other communication methods that work for them. Research supports multi-modal communication as a great way to encourage speech and language development!

📢May 14th is Apraxia Awareness Day!

🧸Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) is a motor planning condition that makes it difficult for individuals to coordinate the movements they need for speech.
🧸Children with CAS usually know what they want to say, but they have difficulty using speech that others can understand.
🧸Living with CAS can be extremely frustrating and isolating for individuals and families. It often requires intensive speech therapy to improve.

As a speechie, I am so privileged to work with clients who are living with CAS to improve their speech, and reach their communication potential. ✨
