Many of you know Jess as the friendly face keeping everything running smoothly at Emerald Village Pharmacy and now she’s stepping up once again to help raise awareness and funds to fight MND.

Jess has been a passionate supporter of Hills MND Big Freeze for years, and after recently being named the 2025 National Pharmacy Assistant of the Year, we think she’s earned the honour of being crowned with ice too! ❄️🤣

You may have met Jess as the Pharmacy Manager at Emerald Village Pharmacy - always making sure the shelves are nice and neat!
Jess has been a huge supporter of Hills MND Big Freeze for the last 3 years and encouraged Louisa to slide in our first event! Her brother, Glenn, from Clematis Volunteer Fire Brigade did the slide last year...wonder if he wants to tip the ice-bucket!..
Here's a little bit more about Jess -
1. Are you married, and do you have family in the hills?
🔹I got engaged in January this year, very exciting! We don’t have plans for a wedding yet but it is on the cards. I grew up in Emerald and lived there for about 20 years before buying my own home in west Gippsland. My mum, dad and two brothers are all still in Emerald.
2. What did you want to be, when you were growing up?
🔹I wanted to be a vet when I was growing up to help animals, instead I’ve grown up to help people.
3. What 3 things would you want if you were stranded on a desert island?
🔹My fiancé Dave, he can do all the hard work in keeping me alive. Food and Coffee and I am a happy girl.
4. What is the best movie you have seen?
🔹I’m not really a movie person, I prefer to be outdoors but I did enjoy the hunger games movies.
5. What is your most annoying habit? Or something people find annoying/funny about you?
🔹I like to be clean and organised allllll the time, for anyone messy or who doesn’t clean up straight away it can be annoying seeing me cleaning/organising around them.
6. What is your nickname?
🔹I don’t have a nickname, it’s always just been Jess. ..
Finally, Jess was awarded the 2025 National Pharmacy Assistant of the Year, time she was crowned with ice! 🤣
