A practical shift in how the industry manages risk.

For the first time in Australia, embryo transfer is now recognised under the Joint Commonwealth–State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements — creating a genuine pathway for producers to protect and rebuild their herds after flood events.

If your genetics are secured in storage, eligible funding can now support synchronisation programs, veterinary & Technician services, labour and travel — turning recovery into a structured, outcomes-driven process rather than a reset.

This is a forward step for herd resilience, genetic preservation and long-term productivity.

The reality is simple: if your genetics aren’t banked, they can’t be recovered.

At Insight Repro, we work with producers to collect, process and securely store genetics — giving you control, continuity and options when it matters most.

Eligibility and applications are available through QRIDA Queensland Rural and Industry Development Authority, with provisions backdated to the 2025 flood events.

Springsure Cattle Camp has wrapped up for another year. 🐂🤎

Last week, Holly and Jane found themselves in the best kind of company, a room full of little enthusiasts with big questions and even bigger futures.

We’ll talk cattle reproduction anywhere, anytime. But there’s something special about sharing it with the next generation of hands who’ll one day be running this industry.

A huge thank you to all the local livestock, rural and regional businesses who showed up, supported and invested in the agricultural futures of these kids.

It was an incredible week, and we'll see you little legends again next year! 🤠

HOT OFF THE PRESS 📰🚨 This one's been a long time coming

Embryo transfer is now eligible under Primary Producer Recovery Grants, and we couldn't be prouder to have been part of making it happen.

For producers impacted by the Queensland Monsoon Trough, Cyclone Koji and recent severe weather events, you can now claim up to $75,000 to help rebuild your genetics and get your breeding program back on track.

Sync vet fees. Medicine. Labour. Travel. It's all in.

Jane and the team at Insight Repro have spent the last 12 months fighting for this, not as an outsider, but as someone who knows exactly what it means to rebuild after disaster. And we are so proud to have worked alongside the Australian Government, the Queensland Government and QRIDA to make this happen.

"It pushes it home that this is amazing technology," she said, adding that the move sets a baseline for the rest of the country. "I hope other jurisdictions will come on board with a similar agreement - for example, in the Northern Territory, where they've just had massive flooding."

We are seeking a motivated and reliable **Reproduction Technician Assistant** to join our growing team in the livestock reproduction industry. This is a hands-on role working alongside experienced technicians and veterinarians across a range of advanced reproductive programs.

**About the Role**
You will support the delivery of services including artificial insemination (AI), embryo transfer (ET), Pregnancy & disease testing, bull fertility testing, semen collection and processing. This role operates across fast-paced seasonal programs, requiring efficiency, adaptability, and a strong work ethic. Regular long-distance travel to client properties is required.

**Key Responsibilities**
• Assist with handling and preparation of cattle for procedures
• Support all aspects of Insight Repro
• Prepare equipment, consumables and work areas
• Maintain accurate records with a high level of attention to detail
• Assist with organisation, cleaning and stock control
• Travel to on-property jobs and work across varying environments

**About You**
• Strong work ethic and ability to perform in fast-paced, high-volume environments
• Comfortable working with livestock in a hands-on setting
• Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
• Reliable, organised and able to work within a team
• Agricultural or animal science background advantageous (not essential)
• Driver’s licence required
