Rams hang on in a pre-season nailbiter!

The men from Emerald travelled into Blackwater to take on the Basilisks in the first round of the CQ Showdown. It was clear that both sides had some cobwebs to blow off after a long off season. 😅🕸️

It didn’t take long for both teams to hit their straps, showing fantastic passages of rugby — highlighted with staunch defence and quick counterattacks. The game went down to the wire and result could have gone either way, but the Rams muscled up on defence to preserve the lead.

We’d like to thank Blackwater for their hospitality — the game was played in great spirit and the atmosphere was electric at Bellert Oval. The Rams will have their last weekend of 7s on the 21st March at Morton Park, before driving north to take on the Moranbah Bulls on the 28th March! 💚💛🐏
