Integrated Pelvic Floor to yoga like movement....

My new "Top Moves for Better $ex" workout includes a crunch variation! Have you tried it? Many women with diastasis recti and/or prolapse worry that they'll NEVER be able to do an abdominal crunch again, but there are ways to work back up to this move, and ways to keep it safe. 💪 Two keys are to 1) fire up your center line (pelvic floor and low abs activate in anticipation of the crunch, think of "zipping up" your core from the bottom up), and 2) to exhale as you curl up. If you notice doming/tenting of your belly, or gapping between your re**us abdominis muscles, or if you sense downward pressure on your pelvic floor, then STOP. You're not quite ready, and need to work on your deep core strength first. But I don't want you to give up hope, and I don't want you to fear movement... there are no "bad" exercises!!! If you feel ready to gently push your limits, then it might be time for you to experiment with the crunch again.
