Trainee Optical dispenser/Optical assistant

The Role

We are seeking an experienced optical dispenser or optical assistant to join our fun team. This is a customer service, dispensing and retail sales role.

This is a 4 day per week role with the ability to scale up when other staff are sick, on holidays or during busy periods. We are an independent community practice

Your Background

You are a proactive team member, passionate about service delivery and driven to achieve great results. In addition, you will have the following skill set;

· Passion for working with people and delivering personalised solutions for your customers

· Willingness to assist customers with appropriate frame selection and making lens recommendations

· Pride in product and store by maintaining our high standards promoting our professional image

· A team player who enjoys working with others in a collaborative and fun environment

· Proficient with Microsoft Suite of software
Experience with Sunix highly regarded

For our Wahroonga Practice

We are seeking a Part Time or full time Retail Assistant to join our friendly Wahroonga Eyecare Team. We are a well-established independent optometry practice with clinics located in Epping and our newly to open Wahroonga Practice.

The ideal candidate must have at least 5-years retail or customer service experience. Previous optical experience is valued but not essential as we will train the successful applicant.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to learn new skills, work within a collaborative and friendly team environment, and deliver continued care to our valued community members.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:
* Excellent customer service and people skills.
* Be motivated, dependable and have good initiative.
* Be comfortable working autonomously.
* A warm, bubbly personality.

About the role:

You will be put through Optical Dispensing course, trained to assist customers in selecting optical frames and sunglasses, help with minor frame adjustments and repairs, dispense spectacle lens or contact lens orders to labs, answer incoming calls, maintain store tidiness and order, and complete general optical reception duties.

Independent Optometry practice in Epping are looking for a Part Time optical dispenser/ receptionist. We focus on giving our customers the best experience from the moment they walk in the door and have a great range of top quality frames and use high end lenses.
Your duties will include all aspects of running an optometry practice from dispensing, practice management and invoicing. The successful applicant will be put through an Optical Dispensing Course.
